Grooming at PetSmart
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Took Bonnie blue to PetSmart for grooming so I could watch, wouldn't you know it, they are remodeling and had taken the glass out and replaced it with a big sheet so I could not see anyway. I was very pleased with their "Puppy Grooming" though. This is her picture when I brought her home...

Canon S3 IS or S5 IS?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I'm going to bite the bullet and get a decent camera - I'm really not happy with the compact pocket camera that I have. I had a Canon S2 IS before and loved it (until it died an early death). I've heard great things about the S3 and the S5. There's quite a big $$ difference btwn the two...

Teddi's Getting Neutered, finally.
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Yes, I finally did it. I called and made an appt. today at a Spay/Neuter Clinic. They charge half of what a typical vet would charge and after alot of inquiring with others that have gone and research, I have ony heard good things come out of this place. That doesn't take away that I'm still...

Beau has been on Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy since he started on dry food...in Oct or Nov. Recently his stools became soft and eventually lead to Diahrea. After fecals etc no parasites found so he went on E/N and metro to treat. As soon as we started mixing his regular food back in...soft again. So as...

Ruptured CCL (GypsyNBeau)
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Gypsy has apparently ruptured her CCL. I took her to the vet yesterday after noticing some limping, and they gave her a shot and sent me home with a 20 day supply of an anti-imflammatory (Deramaxx). They also told me to keep her activity somewhat subdued for awhile. In the meantime, is there anything...

Its official he's too smart (Bugsy)
Posted to:

Bugsy was mithering (great English word loosely translated to pestering) me because he was hungry so I told him to go get his bone. This usually results in him getting one of his red rubber bones. Not this time. After being gone quite some time he returned with his bag of 14 giant rawhide retrievers...

How to train a deaf dog?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I have a deaf bird dog that was abused as a puppy. She was put into a kennel to be gotten rid of because she couldn't hunt. We have been through alot. When I first got her, I would pitch a treat to her and she would scream and run. I think that she was used to things being thrown at her to get her...

Yeah, I know I kind of lost it in my last thread about Cherokee's behavior, but I figure this one's okay because I'm not asking for advice (which doesn't mean you can't offer constructive advice if you see a reason to..but constructive is the key word, please). We've been working...
