Good Luck Bugsy!

Dear Bugsy, I hear that you are taking your CGC test this evening and I wanted to wish you luck. It was really easy when I did it but I had to pay attention to Mum a lot. Be your usual friendly self, but not too friendly! I know you'll do great and then you can join the CGC membership - hooray...

Cornfed Gas Hogs?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24380271/ according to that article we're no better than before using corn to fuel our cars. in fact they say things could get much worse as a result because now food AND gas prices have gone up. thoughts/opinions? most of my animals are grassfed but still..... its shocking...

This thread might bear watching as the usual suspects are having fun thinking they are so subtle and covert. I have already made a small subtle suggestion they move on, but nothing formal. THREAD

Low GI Recipes - Low Carbers, WW Core, WW Flex etc - Please contribute...

Variety is the spice of life when you are on a limited ingredient diet. I'm on Weight Watchers Core, which allows me a wide range of foods, emphasizing avoiding "energy dense" foods. Let's do a recipe exchange! I'll post something when we fix it here, and I'd love to get some...

Wow. B. Hussein is outraged, OUTRAGED, I am telling you, over comments his pastor has been making FOR YEARS!!! Last week, when Hillary was dodging sniper fire in Bosnia, he was merely annoyed and disagreed with the good reverend. What gives? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080429/ap_on_el_pr/obama_pastor_12;_ylt...

Good news for Eko
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
A bit premature, since they don't have the lab reports and the vet hadn't looked at any slides but ... He think Eko is doing great, and pending confirmation of the joint fluid analysis, can start being more active and be back to normal activities in a week or so!!!! I am soooo relieved that we...

dog-dog aggression and pack situations (update 4-11)
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I have a dog that is dog-dog reactive/aggressive. This behavior is due to anxiety and resource guarding of me (I've determined this through experience and various training situations). She is generally good about bite inhibition (only drew blood on a strange dog once), but is very loud and scary...

So JD will be 4 in August, and Bandit will be 7 months in a few weeks. They have all sorts of extra energy because we haven't been walking them mostly due to Bandit's gimp. We tried, but he was much more lame after and I figured it just wasn't worth the risk. They play rather rough together...

Why is agility okay but not frisbee?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I can't wrap my brain around this. Why is it that Luke is a-okay running agility (20" jumps, elite classes, so lots of them with tight turns, etc.) -- but playing frisbee hurts him? Luke LOVES frisbee. He desperately wants to play frisbee. I haven't really let him do it much since...

We made it here finally. The drive took us 5 days ( We planned it in 3). I had all the hotels mapped out and was concerned about finding one when we got of schedule, but it wasn't a problem at all. Lex was great with all the driving. The cats were excellent too. Lex loves his new backyard! And his...

"On the road again....." that's my theme song this week. Hopefully the boss is going to get me a blackberry soon so I can actually get some work done. This is hard to say because I'm annoyed with Dakota atm but every so often she reminds me why I love her - and huskies in general. I...

Goes in the house. Seem on purpose?!

He will go outside. Pees all over the place outside. Poos sometimes but not always. I had him outside today for 4 hours and he didn't. Then an hour after being inside, I went to the kitchen to get a drink. I came back and hes gone in the middle of the room. He then runs and hides in his crate because...
