    Presidential Politics

Wow.  B. Hussein is outraged, OUTRAGED, I am telling you, over comments his pastor has been making FOR YEARS!!!  Last week, when Hillary was dodging sniper fire in Bosnia, he was merely annoyed and disagreed with the good reverend.  What gives?

      What gives?

Hillary has made up some ground in the polls.  It was time for  B. Hussein to do something, & being "outraged" was the best that his advisors could come up with...Confused

I cannot help but find the entire debacle amusing. Here is the elite, the cream of the crop, ready to rise up and lead our great nation! My goodness, I have interviewed better material for ordinarly daily supervision! Maybe we should stop electing our presidents and just hire us one. Put an ad in the paper maybe, I am truly beginning to believe that we would be much better off doing it that way. We could get a panel of CEO types and have them conduct the interviews.

I mean one of the prospects is dodging bullets, one is dodging all the comments that his pastor and mentior has been saying for 20 years, and one is dodging death itself.

I sure wish Bush would wave that magic wand! http://www.reuters.com/article/vcCandidateFeed2/idUSN2934908020080429

I wonder if that one will go down in history as a famous presidential quote?

"I firmly believe that, you know, if there was a magic wand to wave, I'd be waving it, of course,"  George Bush

And as for Obama well it just does not make much sense that he could sit in a pew for 20 years and have no idea about any of these issues, then when they are brought into the light he waves them off as soundbites taken out of context and calls the man his dear old uncle and now he is outraged and does not even know the guy like he thought. Well one of two things has been proven for sure. Obamas either lies or he sleeps in church and I am not convinced that anyone could sleep through Mr Wright's sermons.

It will be an interesting campaign, no matter who the democrats nominate.  Right now, I am very much enjoying watching the potential democrat nominees spend their money to destroy each other.  Unfortunately, I am far from thrilled with McCain.

At first, I was concerned over the media's portrayal of events. However, not knowing the timeline exactly, I can see how this might be misconstrued.  But if you read it in a slightly different order....

    WRIGHT

On Monday, Wright criticized the U.S. government as imperialist and stood by his suggestion that the United States invented the HIV virus as a means of genocide against minorities. "Based on this Tuskegee experiment and based on what has happened to Africans in this country, I believe our government is capable of doing anything," he said.

He became an issue in Obama's presidential bid when videos circulated of Wright condemning the U.S. government for allegedly racist and genocidal acts. In the videos, some several years old, Wright called on God to "damn America." He also said the government created the AIDS virus to destroy "people of color."

    OBAMA

"What became clear to me is that he was presenting a world view that contradicts who I am and what I stand for," Obama said. "And what I think particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing. Anybody who knows me and anybody who knows what I'm about knows that I am about trying to bridge gaps and I see the commonality in all people."

"I gave him the benefit of the doubt in my speech in Philadelphia explaining that he's done enormous good. ... But when he states and then amplifies such ridiculous propositions as the U.S. government somehow being involved in AIDS. ... There are no excuses. They offended me. They rightly offend all Americans and they should be denounced."

"There wasn't anything constructive out of yesterday," said Obama. "All it was was a bunch of rants that aren't grounded in truth."

At one point, Obama said he understood the pressures Wright faced but wouldn't excuse his comments.

"I think he felt vilified and attacked and I understand him wanting to defend himself," Obama said. "That may account for the change but the insensitivity and the outrageousness of the statements shocked me and surprised me."

    Ron Paul 2008!

The only candidate that is a true Constitutionalist.  The rest are phonies and will sell your rights to the highest bidder-or whomever promises more power.

I hear Bob Barr might run on the Libertarian ticket.
