A bit premature, since they don't have the lab reports and the vet hadn't looked at any slides but ...
He think Eko is doing great, and pending confirmation of the joint fluid analysis, can start being more active and be back to normal activities in a week or so!!!!
I am soooo relieved that we don't seem to be looking at a long term autoimmune disease. (Eko had lameness, pain, and evidence of an autoimmune reaction in his rear knee joints).
I am also soooo relieved that I can deal with Mr. Psycho-pants. Ever tried to contain a 5-6 month old ridgeback for 3 weeks? He is bouncing off the walls, chasing the cats, stealing food at every opportunity, and pulling at the leash like he's had no training at all. He is a wild, wild man and while I understand and sympathize, by the end of the day I am often overwhelmed by the scratches (from being jumped on) and the noise. (BARK! BARK! WHINNNNNNE. BARK!) By the way, even on a leashed potty break, an RR pup is more than capable of bouncing straight up and down. LOL!
In the last few days we've been cheating a little on the activity restriction, because we were out of sedatives and figured he'd hurt himself more being a maniac than if we let him play a little in the backyard. Now that the Dr. is happy, we can call that rehab ;).
And its back to obedience training the little monster. He's handsome, but pure evil!
