CORDbread
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
No that's not a typo. I meant to type "Cord bread." Cord is the Border Collie in my siggie. He has a severe bite problem, is one of these dogs that is "too busy to eat" and feeding him has always been a bit of a challenge. He also loves corn, oddly enough. Whole grain corn is...

Bullmastiff

Choosing A Dog
I've started reading up on this breed and love the way they look. But it seems like you can't have this type of dog with another dog is this really true? I have a 1yr old female cockapoo and eventually wanted another dog. Would having a femal mastiff cause a problem??

Bugsy's Sweet Pea Frosties
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Here's a secret. Most dogs love green pea paste just as much as peanut butter, and it's cheaper, though not as convenient. Use young sweet peas and they will love it more! As usual, this is for supplemental feeding only. Since this is for Bugsy, we'll freeze whole muffin forms full, but for...

Mindless Chatter - Tues!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I vow to be positive the rest of this week. Things are shaping back up in my life! (Until I have to start paying bills haha) I brought my new dog mobile home last night and took them for their maiden voyage to the dog park. It is definitely smaller than the Rendezvous but at least I won't have to...

I don't think this has been posted yet, but I just loved it! I saw it on the Today Show this morning and it had me crying my eyes out. It's such a touching story. http://youtube.com/watch?v=oiGKWoJi5qM If this doesn't work, search Christian the lion on youtube. (I can't get my browser...

Vaccinations 101 -- The Whole Dog Journal August 2008 Issue
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
There is an excellent article in the August 2008 issue of The Whole Dog Journal [/b][/i]entitled Vaccinations 101 [/b]by Lisa Rodier. It is about Dr. Ronald Schultz and his studies on canine vaccines, including his current 5 & 7 year challenge studies on the rabies vaccine being financed by The Rabies...

Pottying where I don't want it.
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Last winter the dogs took up peeing and pooping on the deck. Not all the dogs, but Max and Benny. And then Buster feels the need to mark over where they went, but he won't poop on the deck. So my solution was to go outside with them EVERY time they go out and stay there until everyone is ready...

Has anyone fed products from this compay? www.animalfood.com . The local holistic feed store sells it and my dogs go crazy for the freeze-dried niblets and patties. They contain nothing but meat, organs and bone. The website is a little weird though, lol.

What Healthy Dogs Look Like...

We did this on another board I'm on and it's been a great reference, so I thought it might be fun to try it here. The idea is to post pictures of dogs at healthy weights to be used as a reference for people with dogs that appear overweight or those with questions about what a healthy weight dog...
