Does anyone have any good book or website recommendations about preparing the dog (current baby) for a new (human) baby? I am due in May and I have been preparing her, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right things. She has been through obedience training, worked with a behaviorist on her...

I've got a Shih Tzu / PomPom. His fur gets matted fairly easily behind his ears and but-area....right now he's shaved, but when his fur grows back out, what should I use? I'm not a fan of slicker brushes, everytime I use on a dog I feel like I'm scraping theyre skin.
