    OMG, if only!

she is the first horse. I think she is gorgeous, but i've never had a mare before. Just wanted to share!

She is a beautiful painted horse. And tall, too, over 15 hands.

Thinking good thoughts, no matter what.

I have 15 acres that you can borrow!! But it'll cost you. Hehe. I will ride her for you!!

Hopefully next summer I will have a horse.

You should check out that website! They adopt the horses out anywhere from $500-$1000, plus you'd be saving a life. They're very full lately because people that can't afford horses have bought them anyway and now hay is $40 for a large bale.

I hope i can get some land within the next couple of years...i can afford a farm if i move out of lexington, but i'm not sure i want to do that!

She's very cute. Why does it say "light riding or pleasure," though, I wonder? Does she have soundness issues? The "just started under saddle" also worries me - if you've been out of horses for a while and aren't planning to ride with a trainer, and you just want to do light pleasure riding anyway, it might be better for you to find an older "been there, done that" type horse. Often some really amazing show/performance horses are looking for light use homes for retirement - they're still great to ride, they just can't jump 5' courses anymore. I've ridden plenty of them in lesson programs, and let me tell you, they are a total blast. A great way to build or regain confidence and general equestrian skills!! I know riding horses like that has really, really helped me get back into riding after 5-some years away. :)

oh, it's not really an option anyway. I have nowhere to keep her. I just thought she had a gorgeous head, and would probably be fun. When the time does come, i will probably just go out there and ride a few and see what i like. I like walking horses and rocky mountains, but really don't have much of a preference and will take about anything. Right now it's just wishful thinking.Confused

I found a pic of me and my old horse i had when i was a little younger...i think i'm probably 15 in this pic...

There is an Mustang auction going on in Glasgow but I cant remember the date. I heard it on the radio. I really wish we still had the fence up because I would really like to save a couple of those Mustangs. They said the auction starts at 25 dollars and end at 125. If people cant afford the horses they have what happens to those Mustangs not adopted?

You could pass for me 3 years ago!! WOW!

I love Rockies too, the man who owned the farm were I boarded my mare(yes, I had a mare, 1.5 years ago.) had Rockies and Mustangs. Comet(his Rocky stud) was the *most beautiful* horse I think I've ever seen! He bred Comet to the Mustangs(both mares, a Palomino - Peggy Sue, and a Sorrel - Buddy Girl). They had beautiful foals! I miss being around them, the people, the horses, everything. I agree thou, any horse would be wounderful! I miss my D. Sad But hey, thats why we all love the person that came up with the idea of 'leasing' horses for the day....thou I do worry about the horses health in that setting, so normally I just lossen the girth or toss the saddle all together and just relax with my pony-for-the-day, instead of riding him/her like crazy.

She is beautiful. Wow. What an amazing looking horse. She reminds me of Tyson with her spottiness!

I know absolutely nothing at all about horses, but that is one totally gorgeous animal.
