Help with Image Search

Kale is going to be a Rock Star for Halloween. I talked him into it thinking it would be easy enough. Now I'm drawing a blank on everything except his hair. The clincher with him was that I would allow him to dye his mohawk bright Red and tattoo the sides(hair tattoo, not skin, my niece is experimenting with this) by my niece who has her own salon. The dye is semi permanent and well let it fade and then he has to grow his hair back out for winter.

I did an image search for costume ideas, but everything I seem to come up with are Elvis costumes. He's not gonna be Elvis! So can you guys help me? Do an image search or look for specifics, but post pictures of what you think defines a great Rock Star's costume. Thanks!

When I think of rock stars I think of leather, graphic shirts, oversized jewlery & crazy hair. You could type in the names of some rock stars (kiss, coldplay, linkin park, disturbed, etc...) and go by what they are wearing.

OH and he'll definatly need a microphone!

What kind of rocker are we dealing with here? lol Like 80s kind of style or newage leather black pants and stuff? Heres some links that might help with ideas.

Think BLACK:

black pants

black boots

black tshirt with logo

black suit jacket/leather vest/hoddy

...then accessorize with your dog collars and buy lengths of chain at the hardware store for around the waist and neck and of course lots of tats! Black eye makeup, lipstick and nails! and great pair of Black sunglasses.

Oh, I wish his mohawk was that long. Its only about 2 inches right now...but good enough to look crazy if we spike it up with some good glue.

Good suggestion on the hardware chain, I'll have to go look for some. Fake Tattoos too.

Dress him up like Billy Idol. Or, cover the hair with a bandanna and a fake ponytail and dress him up as Axl Rose.

Oh Ron! I can't cover the hair! That's his crowning glory! He's been working on that mohawk since Canada Day! But you've given me an idea. I think I'll search 80's Hair Bands and see what I come up with for clothes, since that kind of defines a rocker for me. Hehe, its my era.

You could have him wear Dockers, a single breasted sport coat and a t-shirt and let him be one of Duran Duran. Andy Taylor used to have his hair in odd colors.

He can go goth ie Marilyn Manson or Billy Idol punk, all of the 80 bands were hair bands, Hall and Oates , Flying Seagulls..... Goth is the most fun, they can wear the black lipstick and eyeliner, a big dog collar and wrist bands , white t shirt with a black vest ( you can sew one for next to nothrng from felt then use some lamp chain from the hardware store as decoration ) Black jeans and dark shoes..... Rock a Billy , pick up a mullet wig from Wally world , white t shirt and blue jeans....

Sorry I am not great with image searches but everyone should play Goth or Punk for a day!!
