Watching the westminster, and I've been reading a lot and looking at videos and lots of things I've finally been stunned by the revalation I can't - never ever - do ANY sort of sport, not agility, not obediance, nothing with Rupert. Not just because of his arthritis, I might be able to do...

We have a Down! =D
Sandy is downing! WHOOT! She's being doing it 9 times outta 10 in the house with just the hand signal. I haven't named it yet since I don't want to name an incomplete movement. So when we went for our walk today, I grabbed a handful of treats and randomly called her back and asked her down...

Best Dog Food
Hi, I would like peoples opinion on what dog food people like best. I am a first time dog owner and have had my dog on numerous foods during the last two years trying to figure out what works for him the best. I never bought him the cheap grocery store food, but did start with numerous purina qualities...

Diary of Beginner's Agility - VanMorrison
Saturday was Morrison's first agility class, my second . The class didn't start too well because there were about 20 dogs/owners against the wall trying to see the stretching demonstration, why they didn't have us stand in the ring I'll never know. We then did some turns excercises including...

Agility Brag!!
So Kota needed 1 Gamblers Q in Level 2 USDAA for his Level 2 title. We tried PII Gamblers this past weekend for the first time since getting our PG1 in December. It was also our first trial in PIII (Level 3 USDAA aka Masters level). The day went with PIII Jumpers first, then PIII Snooker and then PII...

My bad....feeding kibble again is a no-no....
apparently for Rivers. Completely ran out of time and fresh food this week for the dogs; so for replacement of half their meal mixed in with their normal HK and fresh turkey, I gave all of the dogs partial meal with Healthwise puppy chicken/brown rice for only 3 meals. Poor Rivers immediately got...

Happy dogs!
How to get a extremely happy Lab, and a happy lil' Sh!t(I mean, Shih Tzu!)! 1 - buy bag of Diamond Natural, Lamb and Rice formula. 2 - mix with current bag Diamond Maintanice to prevent tummy upset 3 - buy a roll of Natural Balance Lamb formula, chop into kibble-sized chunks. 4 - scoop food into...

Canned pumpkin
How much canned pumpkin is recommended for a 50-60 lb. dog ? I'm trying to firm up Tyson's poop as I just switched to Taste of the Wild and his poops are little soft but stil pickup-able.

Recall/Front Question
Rey is very quick to come running to me when I call him. He sits in front of me, but often too far away. He's a hoppy little thing, and sometimes when I reach toward him to praise him or take his collar, he hops backwards quickly. I don't want this to turn into a habit so I need to know what...

Training to sniff on command
I taught the dogs to sniff the ground on command last night. That was a super easy trick to teach and I hope to use it to difuse some head on confrontations with Abbie and other dogs. Lily suprises me constantly. She does not appear to be super smart at first glance but man, she has a rocket scientist...

New puppy may have allergies... need recommendation please
Hello all, My new puppy may have allergies. He has weepy eyes that I have to cleen several times a day and scratches at his paws. It seems like the hair on his nose is even thinning out a bit. He hasn't been too bad w/ his paws lately, so that is encouraging. He is 13 weeks old, 15lbs, will reach...

Fromm Four Star International holistic?
Hi, If you read my other post, you know that I am looking for a healthy food for a puppy. I went to Petco and Petsmart to look at and compare: Innova, Orijen, California Natural, Nutro and Blue Buffalo. Obviously, the only brands that I found at these stores were Nutro and Blue Buffalo. I stopped...

Agility at last!
We just finished up our first in a series of agility seminars being held by a very well-known agility trainer. We're following the Greg Derret Handling System, and we're having so much fun! In our class are four border collies, a Pap, my Schnauzer, and a Jack Russell Terrier. They are all-day...

Pure vita
Is anyone feeding this? I just picked up a bag the other day. On one habd I feel like a total sucker because it is totally obvious that this food is pure marketing. I mean the ingredients lists "vegan flavoring" LOL I would like to meet the marketing agent that thought up that term. On the...

Taste of the Wild....
Our local TSC started carrying Taste of the Wild, which is weird because the only other food they have like that is Blue Buffulo. We are going to try it for Sally. What do you guys think of this kibble??
