question about raw-kind of
Wondered if anyone knows...... I know you are not supposed to feed kibble with raw...because of the difference in time that it takes for the food to leave the body and we don't want raw sitting too long...... so I wont do that. Does anyone see a problem with feeding a couple of raw 100% meat ...

tracheas
I was at a dog show and a raw vendor was selling some bags of treats for $5. They told me the tracheas don't give dogs diarrhea so I bought a bag. Nikon had one at the show and he had the squirts the next day. I thought maybe it was nerves from the show. Then last night we had company, so I took...

How can I teach my dog to be obedient even when I don't have treats...
My beagle/pug mutt, Sophie is so smart. She is a problem solver and she knows a LOT of tricks, but she will only do them if she knows shes gonna get a treat. Mostly I want to teach her to come to me when she is called. When she sees something interesting or when she escapes out the fence she ignores...

Weight Pull
Does anyone do weight pull competitively ? I'd like to get Nikon started soon since there are a fair amount of weight pull events here (usually at shows I'm attending anyway). I know he will need the special harness. I'm waiting until he is physically mature and fills out a tad more, so it's...

Obedience competition dress code?
Maggie and I aren't ready to compete yet, but I was wondering, are there any unspoken rules about dressing for obedience competition? I know Rally and Agility are much less formal than regular competition obedience in general, so I wondered if the dress code followed suit. (I'd love to be able...

small rant about blue buffalo
I got all excited because I heard about Blue's new line, BLUE Basics, and I wanted to try it for my dog with food allergies. Well.....its definitely NOT a basic "limited ingredient" food. I was dissapointed to find flaxseed, barley grass, alfalfa, parsley, peas, kelp, and rosemary oil....

Blue Buffalo
I am putting Gobie on blue buffalo fish/potato formula (I am aware it has grains in it). I was thinking maybe a lower protein/fat formula would help with teh huge mushy mucousy poop issue. When he starts pooping in the crate overnight multiple times, it's time to try something else for him. ...

Pig's Feet
Anyone feed them? I saw some at the grocery store (!!!!!) the other day and thought they may make great snacks/chews for the dogs. Before I buy any though thought I'd see if any others have fed them? Do those toenails need to be cut? LOL.
