    Comparable to Canidae?

I haven't posted on here in awhile, more so been lurking. For awhile now I have been wanting to switch the dogs food. We have a store here that carries A TON of different brands from the very low end to the very high end. I'm looking for a new food that is comparable to Canidae, and everytime me and DH go in there we just don't know what to pick.

I did switch them once to Blue Buffalo and Teddi's stomach did not agree with it at all, he had diarrhea really bad and I had to switch them back. I just feel like they are starting to get bored with the lamb and chicken and want a bit more variety for them.

Even so, should I keep them on their current food and maybe start adding a topper every once in awhile?

I've never been able to get a good handle on dog foods and what is good and what isn't (other than by-products)

Canidae now has more variety with their grain-free options.  Since your store carries such a wide variety, could you ask them to add those to their mix?  I bet a lot of their other customers would be surprised to learn/see the grain-free options from Canidae.  I was. lol  (I can't used Canidae on Gracie though, even after their forumula changes, it screws with her skin.)

    Canidae grain-free options:

Yeah I can ask them too, because they definitely don't carry them right now in the store. Smile

We switched from Canidae to California Natural over a year ago and have no plans to switch again.  My dogs love the Cal Nat and it loves them!  Nice hard poops, shiny coats, very little odor.  I use no toppers or supplements.  Nikon has no "doggy breath" (Kenya does but she is older and probably needs a dental soon plus she sometimes eats poop).  Sometimes we have gas but otherwise they do really well on the Cal Nat Limited Ingredient diets, much better on the "limited ingredients" than the grain free stuff I've tried.  It's $40-$45 for the large bag where I shop.
