the RAW diet????
Hello everyone, I would like to know if any of you wonderful mom's have your children on the raw diet? How did it work out, was the cost any differant than having them on kibble? Our dogs are shedding like mad, I notice their skin is not all the great either. We are going to be putting our mastiffs...

Before and After pictures of Maze *pic heavy*
With so many new people on the forum, I'll post a bit of history on Maze. Those of you that know this, just skip to the pictures Maze is a 4yr Black Lab/BC mix who has allergies to the oddest stuff. And we're still finding more. Anyways, I got her at 4 weeks, vaccinated twice then she had a massive...

High protein grain free food
Hi everyone! I'm new to the board but I joined hoping to get opinions about this type of diet for my dogs. I currently feed them all Solid Gold- barking at the moon kibble. Now, I've always tried to feed them this "raw" grain free food and it always agrees with them. Before feeding...

Raw bones
One of FHs customers is a hunter and as a sort of thank you/apology for making him an hour behind schedule they gave him a raw deer bone for each of the dogs. Right now they are in the freezer, but I wanted to give them to the girls tonight. Is there anything I need to know? They've never had a raw...

Prey to Sexual arousal
For those that are offended easily, the video shows a dog in agitation against a helper. The helper runs and the dog is released. The dog initially bites but then falls to the ground upon which the dog starts humping the decoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asGsJvbGxRo While this is funny, it is not...

Flashy "flip" finish
I want Pan to have one of those flashy flip finishes. Not necessarily the jumpy ones you see in AKC, but just a real quick, precise left finish. Often in Schutzhund the GSDs go around the back because they are bigger, longer dogs. Pan will likely not be compact or short coupled, so I want to work this...

Nutro Venison and Rice formula change; update; concerned about answers
For those that feed this; the change is on the new bags but not on the website yet. It's not much; they took out the rice gluten and added pea protein, and took out the dehydrated potatoes, which were listed after all the fat sources anyway so I doubt if that has much effect. The amount of protein...

How to help my dog feel full
I have a 95 lb GSD/Boxer mix, Sophie, who is 4 1/2 yrs old. I have recently noticed she probably is getting a touch of arthritis in her hips, because she seems a bit stiff when she gets up for the first few seconds and always is stretching her back legs. My vet said that it is a good possibility, given...

Rally!
Went to a Rally Trial last weekend and finished up Whimsy's RN with a 99 and a 95. The 99 was good for 1st place/Highest Scoring Dog in Rally Novice. The 95 would have been a 99 or better if I hadn't screwed up one of the signs and then almost get the to the next station before realizing...

Food as a treat?
I need to work on something with Nikon for several weeks, an aspect of our training that will require a LOT of food. I can't afford to use commercial dog treats for the amount I need (think - several times a day, I'd like to use use his meals for training) nor do I think it will be healthy. Straight...

Wellness Nutri Source
I picked up samples of 'Wellness Simple' Rice and Salmon and 'Nutri Source Pure Vita' Salmon and Potato. Any comments on these two. I am feeding an 11 yr old lab and 4 yr old small mixed breed. Need to stay away from chicken and corn. Thank you, Marilynn
