Do you use rawhides?
At work I hear many people who use them and many who will never use them. I buy rawhides (pressed and regular), cowhooves, bully stix and they eat raw bones. What kind of chews do you prefer and what do you avoid?

Ok I admit it
As much as I take pride in being a responcible dog owner when it comes to what to look for in dog food I'm pretty much clueless. What should I be looking for in dog food I know I need to switch to a grain free food because Bianica is miserable on foods with grains. I also know I want a real meat...

Question about obedience, rally and tracking rule change...
OK, I know you can't show under your instructor for 6 months after the last class you've taken (to put it simply). Now, the way I read the rule change that takes effect Jan 1st, that was changed to 30 days (see link). Our instructor said that's only for seminars, that classes is still 6 months...

Some heelwork by Hiili
Can be seen here: Youtube She was a bit mellow (after effects of false pregnancy) back then, but did ok. It does need quite a bit of work even if we've gotten full marks for heeling at competitions.

energy, protein and carbs - some thoughts
When Bugsy was a pup he was on fairly normal/average food of about 24-26% protein. He was completely insane, bouncing off the walls insane. Somewhere along the way I read something about protein and began to add some ground beef (with appropriate calcium) to his meals. He seemed to have a much more even...

Appetite in the morning (Echo)
I have noticed Echo's appetite is lessening. She's 11 months old now, so I am assuming about done with the major growing. Seems like she prefers to have just a few bites of something in the morning (she took a couple mouthfuls of THK and half an egg this morning) and walked away, getting her...

It's Tahini Time!
Not as exciting as Martini Time... I occasionally make homemade hummus, which calls for about a tablespoon and a half of tahini. Of course the only kind I could find at the store was a huge jar. Anyone know what else I can use it for?
