    good bone & joint supplement..

Looking for a good supplement for - a 7 year old 115 lb(and not overweight!) akita, 3 1/2 year old Beauceron thats active in agility, and a 3 1/2 year old retired racer greyhound..  none of which are showing any problems, but just to keep their joints/bones healthy as i know all 3 are at risk for issues because of their age/activity level/past.  There are soo many out there, and the biggest issue im having is finding one preferably for Large dogs, so im not having to give the akita 10 or 12 pills a day!  They are all eating Blue LB adult, incase that makes a difference to anyone too..

     thanks for any suggestions!

I've been just using the Zuke's chewy square treats for Willow.  She is 50lbs and gets 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 later.  You'd probably only need 2 per day for your dogs.  They are very easy to give and Willow has been doing very well getting around and running even with her past history of arthritis and Lyme disease 2x's.

Lex has boderline mild/moderate HD. When we found out the vet prescribed GlycoFlex III for him. It works really well! Unfortunatly this fall he showed some more signs of pain and vet recommended we start him on an asprine a day as well as the GlycoFlex. Anyways I know it comes in three levels I, II, and III. He really showed an improvment after taking them for a few months.

I just had two people recommend this product -HylaSport

    I've never tried it though

I give my dog - very active, lean 105lbs with bad knees - human gluco/chondroitin, fish oil + Vit E, and equine MSM

He also gets OsteoBiflex Nutrajoint (used to be Knox)

It seems to help - I am not sure about any of the soft chews and things as there are always people that rave about a product and others that say it isn't as good as some other product.  Besides that it would be very expensive to feed enough of them IMHO
