Clear odorless puddle around my dog?
My 8 year old Border Collie appears to be leaking a perfectly clear - completely odorless liquid (Iooks like water). She'll be laying down and when she gets up there's this fairly large puddle. It has happened three times now since yesterday. I can't tell if it's coming from her vagina...

Need Advice -- Easy to Maintain Cut for Sheltie (aDork)
My friend has a sheltie who needs some TLC. He's a supafluff and has poop embedded into his pants. He hasn't had any sort of professional grooming in a year and a half since her dad died, and I don't know how much he gets brushed normally, so his back is kind of matted too. My thoughts for...

Canine tremors after eating
Help! I'm going crazy trying to help my pup and don't know where to begin: About 6 months ago I took Fidget (13 yo black mouth cur about 10# overweight) to the vet b/c she was drinking water like crazy..several gallons a day. Bloodwork revealed she was borderline Cushings. He suggested upgrading...

Dandruff
While I was brushing Eloise today I noticed that she has very dry, flaky skin and there are little white flakes all in her hair....yuck! I don't know what could be causing it. She is on a good fish food (Acana Pacifica), and I don't think I'm bathing her too often (usually every 3 weeks or...

Pfizer just bought out fort dodge!?!
Just got an email form the vet... I inquired about the new Lyme vax that the vet suggested to DH and she is now using a fort dodge vax. I remember something about not allowing fort dodge rabies vax I think it was. Been looking for the fort dodge thread and can't find anything. Anyway, the vet never...

Help please!
My friend brought up her dog and asked me if she thought he needed to go to the vet. I think it might be a bee/wasp sting but not really sure. He's been biting at it so obviously it's very itchy. She said he was fine this morning but came in from a potty break and he had this. He let me touch...

DINOVITE
So, I've posted on here multiple times about Chico's skin problems/allergies/fungal infection? Or whatever the issue may be. We've been to over 4 vets and basically what it came down to was doing a $600 allergy test or taking him to a dog dermatologist - which was $100 just to be looked at...

Dyeing Dog's Fur Question
Have any of you ever temporarily dyed your dog's fur/hair? I am considering dying them pink for a dog walk event this Saturday that my co-workers and I are participating in to raise $$ for Breast Cancer research. Normally, I would never consider doing anything like that, but this is for a good...

Thatcher's butt...
So, he never ever rubs his butt across the floor. He's done it twice since I got home this morning at about 7. He had some treats but only ate about half his kibble... is this something I should wait and see if he's just got an itchy butt and too many training treats or do I need to get a vet...

Help! Doggy Rash, any ideas? (With Pictures)
We got ramses when he was 3 months old. Within the first few weeks he got a really bad rash under his armpits and crawling up his tummy and privates. We've never changed his food. I thought it was because i used human shampoo on him, so for the next couple months we bathed him with medicated shampoo...

UTI?
I've never had a pet with a UTI but I think my puppy might have one. The first two days, he peed like every 5 hours or so and it was a stream of pee for at least 5 seconds. Now, starting this afternoon, it seems like when he's awake he's constantly squatting, and getting either nothing, a...

Runny poop and other questions
Lilith has had runny poop since the day I brought her home and its still not gone. Lilith saw a vet on the 20th and they never found anything wrong with her...but I don't know because the vet missed the lice she had. Shes on the same food her breeder had her on which is Acana Puppy. The only thing...

My dog has allergies - does yours?
My boxer dog, Elsie, suffers from severe allergies . She’s a wonderful dog who loves life, people and her toys – but three years ago her health started to deteriorate. She had itchy paws (which she always chewed on), bleeding ears, itchy skin, hair loss, weight loss and many other health issues...

Allergies and Ear Infections
Hello. I am new here and would like to say hello to everyone and thanks for any help you can give me. Our dog is a shepherd and collie mix, about 7 years old and indoor dog. She is affected by allergies and we are pretty sure they are good allergies and we are going to be in the process of changing her...

Scratching....
Maze is chewing her back and tummy a lot. I've been wiping her down with black tea every time she comes in the house. She gets a bath with ultra mild, hypo allergenic baby body wash and a rinse with tea tree oil. It's helped a lot with the chewing on her paws and thighs. But she's focused...

All-natural Pet Shampoos
Recently came across Vet's Best Super Deodorizing Shampoo and I wanted to know if anyone had previously purchased and/or used it on their pup? Scout has a habit of rolling, dashing through, or stepping into things that often leave him with an extremely unpleasant scent. Anywho, I've heard good...

need info on seizure meds quickly (for Bugsy's friend Campbell)
He's been having seizures on and off for about a year now - but they are now more frequent - in fact had two grand mal seizures today. His owner sent me a message stating that "one causes liver damage, one causes pretty severe sedation and one has to be administered every 8 hours and runs...

Biking with smaller dogs?
Hello all. It's been quite awhile! Classes are really zapping my time, and internet is one of the things suffering because of it lol. I have a few questions about endurance and distance for biking with smaller dogs. I had been riding about eighteen miles a day alone, then sadly...

Not fully neutered or something else?
Hey guys...so this is a kind of funny yet mortifying(for me anyway) story from last night. So I go to bed and I'm having Simba come up and he just starts randomly humping my bed. o.o And now I'm not sure if he either peed....or he ejaculated. Is it possible that he wasn't fully neutered because...

broken tail?
We took Misty to stay at a lady's house instead of to the kennel since she is so nervous (this did not work out well at all, she was still a nervous wreck) and last night after we got her home, I noticed that her tail looked strange. I actually noticed it when I went to get her, but I thought she...
