I rescued a 5year old min pin, layla, and she has become like my child. Right now I am very worried and probably over reacting, but it doesn't seem normal to me. Ok so let me back up, when i adopted her from the shelter she had a tumor on her breast that no one told me about and I took her to the vet for routine stuff and vet recommended spay and biopsy when she felt it, but first had to get her healthy. she was severely underweight and bad skin condition, allergies, etc. Hoarder had her and tons of other dogs and none were cared for. So took about a month and a half to get weight up and get all shots utd and work on other stuff. So this last friday she was spayed, and the next day took her back to be checked and vet said she looked good but gave her more pain meds(layla has extreme anxiety and gives the vets hell and is able to fight off many drugs and their effects) and some take homes and advised me to keep giving her the xanax she was already prescribed, and the pain meds were tramadol. Ok so sunday she is peeing every 5 minutes and barely going so the vet came to hospital on her day off and tested her and gave antibiotics even though urine looked negative, just in case. after the anti inflammatory pain shot she stopped peeing like that. Then sunday night she starts leaking reddish fluid from her incision , I may have fallen asleep for a few minutes and she sneaked and licked the incision, not sure though. It was only a few drops so I laid her down and kept an eye on her until morning and then it started really leaking so I took her straight to the vet and different vet was there and didn't even talk to me, sent her back out with a tech who said she's fine you just need to keep her calmer. I told them she only gets up to go pee and then I carry her out and in and she is on leash. They ignored me, so I took her home and continued keeping her calm but the fluid will not stop coming out everytime she even stretches a little or goes out to pee or rolls over. It seems excessive to me so I called the vet again and my vet told me to put that collar thing on her, but she hasn't been licking it, i have stayed up 2 nights to make sure of that, plus she goes bonkers when you put it on which makes the leaking worse. Is it possible they did something wrong and that's why they keep ignoring what I say or is this just a normal complication of a spay and i'm bugging them??? Also she was in heat when they spayed her and she is still bleeding from her vulva, not eating normally, i'm syringe feeding and watering, only pooped a little second day and hasn't since, but is peeing fine now, hasn't had a temperature as far as vet said, incision seems very tender just barely touching it makes her jump. Please help I am terrified!!! Amanda
