Posted to: News & Entertainment
Pros vs cons of each? We normally put splint boots on our horses when we ride, but I was looking at a pair of sport boots. What do ya'll think?

discipline is play time
Posted to: Training & Behavior
I got my dog Tater, at an animal shelter, he was three months old, he is now seven months old. He is part Bassett Hound and part Welsh Corgi, When I go to discipline him for biting, he still thinks biting peoples hands is fun, he always thinks i'm playing, so he never takes me seriously. It's...

Play wrestling with dog??
Posted to: Training & Behavior
Ok, here's my question. Is it ok to play wresle with your dog?? When I got my black lab he was a bit aggressive with other dogs and he's a big black lab so I never wrestled with him. We play tug of war and train but we don't get down and wrestle. He now has a recovered broken leg from...

I give up!!!! YOU tell ME what he is! Breed Guessing Game
Posted to: News & Entertainment
Ordinarily this wouldn't bother me much, but I swear to doG, EVERY day I've walked Indie for the past 2 weeks, I get people who disagree with me to varying degrees about Indie's stated breed. It's every single day! They're not particularly rude about it and I always preface it with...

Greetings everyone, I am new to basset ownership. My puppy won't come home until the 27th, BUT i am worried about his eyes. He looks cross-eyed. The breeder doesn't appear worried about it and says they'll straighten as his vision strengthens....but I'm not convinced. None of her...

Puppy Not Interested in ANY Food
Posted to: Health & Grooming
Hey, all, My puppy boy (~7 months old Husky/Malamute/GSD mix) has decided that he doesn't care for food. Meaning any food. He stopped touching his raw. Okay, so after a hunger strike, we tried kibble. Nope. Not interested in chicken. Not interested in even the smelliest of foods/treats. ...

My golden itches all the time.
Posted to: Health & Grooming
He has itched like crazy, it's gotten worse lately, where if you touch him anywhere, he kinda freezes up and acts like he's being scratched (bad analogy). He has some black powering effects on his skin, but no red rashes, or pustules. I can't really SEE a rash, but the instant he get excited...
