My 6 yr. old female Alapaha Bull Dog Choco is dealing with a relapse of her Evans. Last time she was brought in with a PCV of 19 and platelet count below 10,000. Kennel Fire how sad
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
There was a very bad Boarding Kennel Fire about 1 hour and 45 minutes from me. I had actually met family members who ran it back in the early 1980's. It had passed down thru family to them. We met at a Boarding Kennel Seminar. Sounds like the place was pretty well totaled and several dogs were lost...

It will be spring for a few more hours, then winter comes again. Ran Jr in a couple of WMAs this week. Todays meant a trip to the shower. He is so responsive and biddable while working off leash away from the road. We will see about on-leash in a few hours at class. I dug out the Halti we used with Piper...

Chewing up crate bedding
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
We figured out pretty soon after getting Houston at 10 months old that he liked to chew. He is 1- 1/2 years old now. He is my 6th cocker spaniel and I never really had this bad of a chewer before. He initially slept with the crate pad that our dog who passed away in March had, but he tore holes in it...

Bronchitis, Prednisolone
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My 25 pound shih tzu mix was diagnosed with bronchitis. Vet prescribed 5mg prednisolone and an antibiotic. Seemed to eliminate most but not all of the coughing. Vet then prescribed 5mg predisolone for another 3 weeks (with declining dosage again). Still occasional coughing. Only side effect is occassional...

Hi All, It's been a long time since I have posted but things with Maddi went from great to awful very quickly. The end of September, I noticed she started limping in the morning on occasion and wasn't too alarmed since she is nine and a little bit of arthritis wouldn't be a surprise. By mid...

Hello, I am new to the site, so please correct me if I am posting in the wrong place. We recently (this past Monday ) rescued a dog. Gizmo is 11 months old and neutered. We were told he is a mini border collie mix. Do you think this is correct? If so, what is his mix? Also, what health issues are...

While working Dodger at home, Maze would do the exercises with us, stating quite loudly that she was not ready to retire from Obedience. So after speaking to my trainer, it was decided that Maze would go back to school. We've spoken to some other students about having Maze in the area, there will...
