I don't get how dogs don't understand the word "no"
Posted to: Nutrition & Exercise
OK so I hesitate to even start this thread because I know that it will probably start a bunch of conflicting views and that is absolutely not my intention….I actually tend to completely stay out of these training topics as I am always the “peacemaker” in the family and tend to steer clear of conflict...

mind stimulating activites

Does anyone have any good ideas for some good games to play with kaiser? He gets a lot of physical exercise, but i feel like he could use a little more mental stimulation...we're kind of bored with the same ol' stuff. He's a very intelligent dog, and is eager to please. He does not like treat...

Thoughts on splitting a tube of Advantix
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I have used Advantix on Jezebelle since we got her. Last winter I switched to Advantage, and Jezebelle seemed to react to it. She developed a red rash on her neck right where I put the preventative. I switched back to the Advantix because the ticks and the mosquitos are horrible here. Ever since she...

Hiring a Dog Walker

Collies and Shelties

What is the one thing about your dog...
Posted to: News & Entertainment
What is the one thing about your dog that brings a smile to your face when not together? For me is when I am at a work and is a pretty day and I picture Romeo running around wild chasing anything, with that crazy look in his face: eyes just bright and alive, silly grin on his face, tongue hanging...

We have adorable 10-week old labrador/beagle mix puppies. (I'll post picture as soon as I figure out how!) Female Humping?

My 8 week old, female, Yorkie-poo keeps trying to hump our hands, feet and all of her toys. It is so wierd, our Male dog NEVER has humped anything. I always thought he was wierd because he is a male (and not neutered until 1 year of age). Is this normal behavior for a female & especially at only...
