What is the one thing about your dog...

What is the one thing about your dog that brings a smile to your face when not together?

For me is when I am at a work and is a pretty day and I picture Romeo running around wild chasing anything, with that crazy look in his face: eyes just bright and alive, silly grin on his face, tongue hanging out to one side and when he finally has had enough the way he just plummets down and rolls over with legs wide open going in every direction to sunbathe.  [:D]

Yeah, I love my crazy mutt.

I take lots of pictures of Odie and I change my screen wallpaper on my computer at work every 2 weeks. It never fails to bring a smile on my face when I close a program and see Odie's silly smile staring back at me. [:D]

When I think about him doing anything, my face lights up.  One thing in particular?

When he runs around the dining room and the living room over and over again (it's like a circle in my house) at top speed, then he suddenly stops looking quite exhausted but pleased. [:D]  Funny stuff! Hahaha!  Really cute, too. [:)]

When I think of Tootsies little corgi butt, wiggling back and forth. Trying so hard to wag her stump of a tail, she ends up shaking her entire backside.

How can I just choose one?! There are so many!! One of my favorites though, is this:
Our house is pretty much a big square as far as doorways and halls are concerned. Our boys have a favorite game that they love to play in the house - one of them will grab a toy and tease the other with it. Then, the chase is on! They run full speed in opposite directions around the house until they meet in the middle, and then take off running in opposite directions until they meet again. This can go on for hours! I can't help but laugh when I think of this, let alone when I see it.

The one thing I think about with Dasher that makes me smile is when he wants to lay on my lap he will sit next to me and put his little head on my lap (it barely reaches as he is so little). He looks so cute when he does this, my heart just melts all over again!! [:D]

Reese and Lille used to play the "chase" game in the house as well. They were able to run in circles and chase one another, great fun!!

When I am at home and I forget to close the bathroom door the ever curious Blizzard can not resist going in and check out the room for changes.  Its a small bathroom and she is a big girl and somehow she manages to close the door and gets stuck inside.  She gives a couple of plaintive WHOOFS and I come running.  The look on her face stays with me for days and causes me to smile.  Thats Blizzard in the profile.

When I'm at home and go back to use the bathroom in our bedroom instead of the one in the hall.  Max follows me, but not all the way to the bathroom.  I come out and find him up on the bed. I swear he thinks that if I'm in the bathroom, his job is to be on the bed.[:D]

I love the stories and the cute puppies pictures.  Now I have more to smile about.

    Keep the stories coming.

Acting like a goofball and running faster than the wind.

My hubby makes me smile because he will go on and on about not having any room on the bed yet won't disturb them to move them out of the way.

I love that Penny represents a life devoted to the study of being cute. [:D] She has an ever-expanding repertoire of cute behaviours that sometimes get her what she wants. It's hilarious to watch her push the other dogs out of the way when they all want to come in so she can get down to the serious business of charming the pants off us with her cuteness in the hopes that we will let them in. She makes the little 'buff' bark where she lets air explode out the sides of her mouth, then she pins her ears back and wags her little tail, then she paddles on the glass door with her front feet, then she lies down and rests her chin on the doorstep, then she starts all over again. When she met my housemate's dog last year, she was shocked and threatened to discover that he knew cute things she had never seen before! She had to work hard to come up with some even more adorable moves. Her latest one is to walk up behind you and rest her nose between the backs of your knees. She'll just sit there, nose burried between your knees, waiting for you to turn around and give her a pat.

Nearly 11 and she's still coming up with new cute moves. She is a master!

His utter dedication to fetching and pure happiness in doing it.  His endless enthusiasm for chasing his ball, under any circumstances.  Every single time it's the most exciting throw ever.  How he won't take his eyes off of it and looks at you so eagerly while he's sitting waiting for a throw, then explodes like a rocket, runs, and pounces on the ball.  He is so focused and beautiful when he runs and that stalky pounce on the ball makes me smile every time.

MinnMonkey, that is the cutest picture ever!

I think of Louise running through the forest as fast as she can and jumping in mud puddles. It's her favourite thing in the world and she always comes back with a huge smile.
