Help! My dog turns into a lunatic when excited!

I need some advice. My 10ish month old puppy has shown great progress with not jumping/nipping in every day situations. She sits when I come down the stairs so she get get attention, etc. My problem is that she turns into a maniac when we are playing or when new people come over. She jumps around...

i know i should've posted this in the nutrition forum, but, well i guess i have no excuse. my mom sent me a recipe for dog jerky, i was wondering if any of the ingrediants are no-no's. if i make it i would omit the garlic even though it is supposed to be ok, but other than that does it look alright...
