Dog has loose tooth?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
This morning I was playing tug of war with Sophie and noticed one of her little tooths was out of place so I opened her mouth and saw that it was quite loose. My grandpa is in NC for 3 weeks and I'm watching the dogs while he is gone, so I was wondering should I be worried about it or will she be...

Quick question about doggie car seats
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I'm fixing to place an order for an exercise pen for my toy poodle and i also noticed on Petco, that they have dog car seats. I got a couple of reviews on their website about how good they are. Does anyone else use these when traveling with your dog? does the dog like it? Amy

Having more than one dog..
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My husband and I would like to have dogs in the future. Probably more than a year from now, but hey.. can't plan too much for this sort of thing! I'm very familiar with having dogs one at a time, we had them all my life. What'd I'd really love to do however is have two dogs at once...

If you were to run away from home, would you take your dog with you? If so, would the majority of the supplies for your dog or for yourself?

i havent tried to start training him yet though, just got it yesterday, finally. i thought i'd go for a little test run, see how b reacted to it. so i smeared a dog biscuit with some pb, i was just going to make him sit for it, since he already knows the sit command. i tell him sit, and as soon as...

Problems with walks - kinda long
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I thought Winnie's behavior would clear up on it's own, but after 9 days of me walking her, it hasn't, so I seek some advice. Because of my schedule and DH's disability, we hired a dog-walker about 7 weeks ago to come in 4 times a week and walk our dogs. She's a neighborhood girl...

I'm needing a gift idea for my father. I know it's late, but it's been a TOUGH month and Christmas gifts are the last thing on my mind. [ ] I'm racking my brain trying to think of something for him besides a gift card. For the past few years I've been getting him different Nascar's...

Am I?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So what do you people think? Am I a bad dog owner? I asked advice about my dog who has been throwing up.. Well ****** used that to bash me and basically say that I am a bad dog owner because I didn't rush my dog to the vet. I'm actually really upset, I've never had anyone tell me that...

SO angry...inadvertantly "saved" a puppy...sorta.

Sigh. Before I start, I just want to say, I'm not in this to get flamed. I realize that this was NOT a good decision, but it was made in the heat of the moment and with the best intentions possible. I realize the repurcussions of "supporting" this type of breeding...but the bottom line...

How does one get started in search and rescue dog training?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I'd really like to be one of those people who go out and find victims at disaster sites with their dogs. I'm 19, and have never done any agility or dog showing or anything before so I know nothing about that. I'm sure a great deal of agility is required (for both owner and dog) so I know...
