Does anyone know what this is. I found it in my garden. In the one pic, the stuff is on the brick border the other it is directly on the soil.

A girl in Ohio just lost 4 Great Danes from Sat. thru this morning..to Parvo and they were all vaccinated. They were not new borns, nor were they litter mates...in fact I believe the one was already 9 months old.
