    Mindless Tuesday

There is not enough coffee in the world today. Thank you 4 hrs of sleep Today is going to be a super long day. Super long. And I just want to go back to bed. I had something else to say but forgot already. That's scary. My boss told me yesterday that they put the report I wrote in for an award. :) don't know if it will pan out but it was still nice to hear.

Julie - Good luck on the award!

Not too much going on here.  I have sooo much work to do and zero motivation.  It's like the story of my life.

Co-worker's dad died yesterday after a very long and painful illness.  It's sad because he (co worker) is getting married in a few months and he was hoping his dad could be there.  However, he was in so much pain, etc. its a blessing.  I never know what to say in these circumstances.

My parents have left for another vacation (gotta love retirement).  I am so happy for them.  My dad worked 60+ hours a week (he was in sales) and traveled a ton for his job.  I am so glad they are able to enjoy this time together and live!  They are so cute - they still hold hands.  My dad is a pistol and no one could imagine him every retiring but he hasn't looked back once.  They are going to visit a friend that lives Kennebunkport, Maine - so they are staying in some nice digs.

Ugh I have to go out and move mulch - I wish I were as excited as B he seems to think its whine and spin worthy. Shrugs

Huge storms last night - gave him a very low dose of xanax and he was better, not like he used to be but better. Anyway it really broke the heat and humidity, today is gorgeous! Its only for today but I'll take it!!

Been to the lake and to pick up some yard stuff, I will have to stop avoiding the mountain

Glad Riley is doing so well!

Mountains of work, none of which I feel motivated to do (must be going around these days).

We really need some rain here.

Julie, good luck on the award. I'm so tired today. Luckily, I just found out I can go back to bed for a bit, and maybe get home earlier tonight, because one of the kids I was supposed to see today is sick. I need to call the one I was supposed to see last and try to move that up. I survived my allergy shots today, or at least the injections, and now I'm waiting out my 30 minutes to leave. I can do 4 needles without freaking out. That's pretty good. Once I'm out of here, I'm going to pick up Luke and take him to his visiting. I thought we were going be rushed because of work, but the cancellation works nicely. We had tO skip last week because I had to work. At some point, my ezpass fell off my window. Because I came frOm NJ and to the Dr. Office instead of home, I went on a toll bridge. Hopefully it read it from the floor and I don't have a ticket.

    Deb that stinks...

I am doing the happy dance here for Riley!  Continued good vibes coming your way.

From yesterday, must have been one of those days for tears.   I have a box of stuff from my old work truck that has been sitting in the back storage room.  It is a small box but I just tend to ignore it.   Yesterday I decided to go thru it and see if anything was worth keeping.  Finally at the bottom of the box was our sweet Shadow's Jingle bell collar which I removed the day we sent him to the bridge....Crying  I was glad that I was the only one left a work.  The other girls would have been very understanding but...

Hot one yesterday, records set and will be set again today.   Is everyone in Florida ok?  We have a group from our office and small town that go for two weeks every year and they are leaving Friday after work.  We have another group that are there now.

Karen,we did 15 yards of mulch in April. The ATV /trailer combo worked much better than a wheelbarrow.

Yay for the good news regarding Riley Party!!!

I have tons of work too and although I feel motivated, I feel spastic in terms of what to do first, so I came here Stick out tongue.

I looked over the CGC test last night and I think Shane will do well with almost all of it. We need to work on him staying when I go out of sight. I also don't know how he'll do for the loud noise thing. He's not super skittish but he might jump or try to scoot away. Hopefully that won't be a big deal. I'm wondering what other training we could enroll in since this ends in 2 weeks and I think it's been really good for both of us. Any ideas?

Callie - I'm glad you're okay and hope the storm moves on soon.

I guess I can't avoid the work all day, so off I go...

Mulch break!!!! Pizza in the oven!

    ((((((hugs)))) for Gin

Deb it was clearly spam - had a link in it which I didn't click.

Tena I've got 12 yds - probably just less than 2/3rds done. I need to clean up 2 of the remaining areas before moving any more. No ATV but I wish I could harness B to the wheelbarrow

I was glad to see such a great update on Riley in your post yesterday, Lisa.  I hope the news continues to be good -- and good luck with the "no bare feet" rule!

Well, no bare feet here.  In fact, I put the heat on when I got up this morning, it was so cold in the house.  It's in the low 50's at night, and with little sun, the house doesn't warm up during the day, although the outdoor temps are in the high 60's.  Thirty minutes ago it was dark and raining sideways, now there's some large patches of blue sky out there.  It will change again, I'm sure.

Cathy, I'm sure Shane will do fine with the CGC assessment.  DH went through it with Ruby after completing an obedience class (the instructor was an authorized CGC evaluator).  He did it just to see how she'd do, not expecting much.  We were shocked that she passed -- we thought she'd have a big problem when DH went out of sight.  It would be interesting to see if she'd pass it now, nearly a year later.  It's frustrating how her good behavior doesn't translate 100% from the test or class environment to "regular" life.  It's like she knows when she's truly supposed to behave (I know, we have a role in this problem!  Tongue Tied)

Those email account hackers are so annoying!  That happened to my mother last year, as well as my coworker.  My Mom was moritified, because they sent Viagra ads to everyone in her address book, including a boss she had before she semi-retired.

Glad you're okay, Callie --- hopefully you're not having to make your commute to work in a rowboat or tie some weights to the dogs' ankles so they don't get caught in any gale winds!
