Mindless chatter - Sat

I took Neiko to the park twice yesterday. He really needed that running time. Thankfully there was a greyhound mix there that kept him running for a god hour. All that running really didn't tire him out though - go figure! He brought me every toy in his toy box trying to get me to play last night...

When is it safe to take a puppy to the park?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My puppy is 9 1/2 weeks old. So far he's gotten 2 Deworming shots, last one on 12/1/07. He also got his first DHLPP shot about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm going to be getting his second DHLPP shot this coming Tuesday. Would it be safe to take him to a park if I keep a close eye on him? He's up to...

Canine Connection
Posted to:

Just a reminder to all members to check the Canine Connection threads if you or someone you know is looking for a dog. I notice that the hits aren't that high, and yet that's a place where some pretty desperate dogs get posted to find homes. I just posted a few there from this site: www.dogsindanger...

Rubbing salt in the wound.....

I pulled a major jerk move last night! I knew Cosmo had a pad cut on his front paw but I wasn't too worried about it, as it wasn't bleeding. I walk him on some rough stuff so it just happens sometimes. He keeps them clean and they heal pretty quick, so without thinking about it, I took him out...

Your favorite collars?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Alright, collar fetishists, what are your favorite collars to buy? :) BF's family's (large) boxer can apparently un-snap his snap-close collar if he pulls against it hard enough so they're looking for something sturdy, and I'm looking for something that would look spiffy against fawn...

Probiotics

I see alot of folks talking about adding a probiotic to their dogs diet. Is there any reason to add it to a healthy dogs diet ? Now yogurt - while have probiotics - also has protein. I'm not counting that in this question. The fact that Prancer thinks its ice cream is good enough reason for me...
