Dakota's recent trip to the vet

So, some people were interested in the new vet that I took Dakota to today. This vet specializes in geriatric dogs and nutrition. I was skeptical about the nutrition part but wow, was I impressed! First off, every appt is 1 hr long - no rushing you in and out the door. It was nice and quiet in the office...

Hello - first time on site. Wondering what you all thought about the breed mix of our newly adopted puppy. Her papers list her as a Vizsla / Staffy mix. She is about 4 1/2 months old in this picture. They also thought she would not exceed 50 lbs. Thanks I'm having trouble getting a photo...

OK - now that we are moving, we have decided to get new couches. Our current ones are a disaster. I am actually embarrassed to move them into the new place (they will be going in the basement). Anyway....what are you opinions? We do not want leather, so that is out completely due to cost and DH hates...

we had to go out yesterday, and when we returned we found a horrible sight Bandit had diahrrea in his crate....all over his crate to be exact...and him......and my carpet....and ....everything... Hubby had him out a few times throught the night, he's stilll active and willing to drink. problem...

I'm sure most members have at one time come across a stray dog. I know it can be a dilemma as you often have to act quickly and usually you would not have an extra leash or piece of rope handy to restrain a dog. If you have your own dog with you at the time, that can create another problem. So lets...

Owner died, Jackie Patterson, need help with pets left behind

I posted the original email in General yesterday. To bring you up to date. Jackie was very active in rescue transport. She passed away Saturday night. She left 3 dogs. It looks like 2 of them have been placed, still need a home for one. They are in the Chicago area if anyone can help the information...
