How soon did you bathe your dog after being spayed or neutered?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Bonnie was spayed on May l4th using laser surgery, she is healed nicely, can hardly see it already. I was wondering when she can be bathed? I do have an appointment with the groomer on June 10th to be bathed and groomed. Think I'll wait till then.

Anyone ever use one of those things that attaches to your bicycle so you can have your dog leashed to it without pulling you over? I think its called the ExPETition, or something cute like that...lol! I was just wondering what everyone who has used it thought about it. I was thinking of getting one,...

Mindless Chatter Memorial Day

I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I am making the best of it considering the bad luck that has befallen me. (see other thread for pity party). I just called a friend to have her go break in to my house to feed my cat. She says "Oh this will be my 2nd break in for today. Just call me...

rash - please help
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Today I found a circular, bright red rash on Zack's underside, it's about the size of a nickel. At first I thought it was ringworm but something about it looks different.

The bad luck cloud is raining on my parade!

Warning: Pity party ahead. Proceed with caution. So, in the past couple of weeks, my computer has died, my plumbing has died (leaving me with no shower) and my car has died - leaving me stranded out of town on Memorial Weekend. This just has not been my month! Of course my plumbing died right after...

Yesterday Riley "went to Heaven" (not really!)
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Yesterday was the opening day of a nearby amazing, private dog park. I am so excited to go back lol. There are 11 acres (fenced), a a pond, baby pools, an agility course, concession stand, bathing your dog area (with tubs and everything), it is just wonderful. Riley and I were there for 3.5 hours yesterday...

Personal Liberties and Parental Rights

The "Art or Porn" thread began to veer toward a discussion of personal liberties, so I'm starting a thread to continue that discussion. In that thread, parents had given consent for photographers to take and display nude pictures of their children as young as 12 years old. Now, while I...

Is it play or is it prey?
Posted to:

just out of curiosity. Bugsy has a through the roof play drive and I am wondering if his incessant hunting is due to that as opposed to prey drive. He catches stuff daily but never kills it nor does he try to eat it. He plays with it, he releases it and then when it moves again he catches it again. If...

You guys (some of you) would be so proud of me. I actually got out the clicker and some hotdog and tried it on for ten minutes or so. Kivi Tarro caught on pretty well and he got as far as walking all the way into his kennel once before forgetting what had got him clicks or getting bored and lying down...
