It has been a busy but gratefully LONG weekend for me! I took Friday off from work and went out to ride. My horse is STILL being dweeb boy so I left a note asking my trainer to ride him Wed and Thurs this week. I hope she has time. I think he is just being a spoiled rotten brat, but I don't want to pick a battle when I do not have ground support and Jan (my trainer) has been gone the past 3 weeks at a show.
Saturday I had to feed the horses at the barn (and ride) so we were there most of the day with all the fur kids. Teddi is getting pretty good at her barn manners. However she REALLY likes horse "puckies". BLECH! After the day at the barn we took the girls to the river to jump and swim. They had a good time and were tired at the end of the day.
Sunday Belle had an agility fun match, so the "golden" girls went for a walk. We thought about taking Teddi but decided Belle needed some "me" time. She was great (as always). Sunday evening we went to see the new "Raiders" movie. I enjoyed it. Harrison Ford is still a VERY good looking man. It was fun! However we don't "go" to movies much any more. I was SHOCKED how expensive they are, which is why we have not gone. We bought our tickets on line thinking it would be packed when we got there, the tickets were $10 + $1 service fee, per person. Then we bought popcorn, two beverages, and twizlers for $17.75! That is why I have to REALLY want to see a movie, before I see it in a theater.
Today the girls went to a local facility that has a training dock. We jumped our dogs (well Belle and Teddi) and Belle actually left the dock a couple times WOO HOO, then we had some friends meet us there for first time jumping practice. Both dogs did great! Solomon is a Pittie and he was SO obsessive about the water, could have cared less about the throw toy. He has some confidence building to do, but he went off the dock several times. Gus is a yellow lab and he really took to the game. He got jumping better and better.
Now I need to clean my house, do my laundry, pay bills... (I do not want to go back to work tomorrow!)
