I'm back
I finally found my way back into the forum. I had to do some password changing but I'm back. While i'm at it, i'm going to ask for some help. Sheena hurt her hing right knee and she is now supposed to be on 14 days of rest (meaning very short walks and nothing more). I'm 3 days into...

Peeing and dookie-ing all over the rug
I recently moved from living alone in an apartment with hardwood floors. Back in the old place, I never had any problems with my dog soiling inside. It's been about 2 weeks now since I moved in with my girlfriend (place is new to both of us). The new place has a rug, and our neighbors have dogs in...

Grady Problems
How to start? Grady & I have this problem. He loves me too much it seems. He gets jealous when I give other dogs @ doggie day care any attention. Sometimes he gets inbetween the other dog & me. That's dealable. Other times, like today, he seems to go into a blind rage & attacks initially...

Escape Artist at 6 mos old! Separation Anxiety?
Last night, for the first time, when we put Winston in his crate to go to sleep, he started barking and crying non stop. We went upstairs to bed and after my husband went downstairs to tell him to be quiet, he was quiet. About 20 min later, just as we were falling asleep, we heard a very faint whining...

Eating everything in sight
HI..my little fella..(possible Cairn X) gets into everything he possible can when I'm not home. He gets on the table, in the trash, on the back of the couch.. When he finds anything edible it's gone. He's dragged crackers out of my lunch bag, cookies, candy, and chocolate. That's the...

Strange behavior disorder help
Hi, my name is Ben and I am new to these forums. I am twenty-years-old and I live with my step father, my mother and our dog, Maggie. Maggie is a mutt (we believe she is a golden retriever and German shepherd mix) and she is about 18 months old. For the last two months, we have been dealing with what...

He is peeing all over the place!!
We adopted Kenny last July and we were living in an apartment and we took him potty on his leash. In January we moved into a rent house. We haven't had many potty problems until this past week. He jumped on our bed and peed on our comforter, we found 2 spots in our office, 1 spot in our guest bedroom...

So I'm off...
to buy a muzzle. Indy did it again yesterday- bit a woman in the bum. Didn't break clothing or skin, but bit her nonetheless. I did figure out what these people have in common- it's the people that completely ignore him that he bites. Those who talk to him or reach out to pet him, he shies away...

Defending the car...
Both my hounds have a horrible habit of going nuts when we leave them in the car, and I haven't a clue how to stop something that happens when we're not there to correct it. Whenever we bring them with us anywhere - for example once we took them on a road trip to upstate New York - and have to...

A question for someone who knows a lot more than I... A seven month pup (not mine) who is food aggressive with humans. Do you fix this by trying to remove dogs food?

Treadmill
I saw on Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisper that he uses a treadmill and I thought how nice that would be on rainy days. But my dog just stands there and falls off the treadmill. He looks quite funny. I tried holding him with the leash so he has to run but I know he is not having a good time and he still just...

Territorial at agility class?
Just wanted to ask for input on an issue I'm having with Lucy. We've been going to the kennel club once a week (for obedience, then agility) for more than 6 months now. Over the past couple months, she's developed her "barking skills". I am kidding, because it is very bad for two...

Doesn't like too much barking....
OK, Sally herself is NOT much of a barker. I work midnights, and if someone is knocking on the door during the day, it is the knocking that wakes me, not the dog--she's just looking at me like "Aren't you going to get that?" She seems to be bothered by barking in general. We went...

Fearful of other dogs
My black Lab/Basset mix, Cairo, has a pretty troublesome fear of other dogs, at least that's about as near as I can figure what's wrong. Whenever I take him on a walk and we pass by another dog, he gets growly and snappy and makes a fool out of himself. If we let him sniff noses with other dogs...

This is very cool
We can block ignorant posts, or posters, and we seem to be having so much fun finding our way around that no one is fighting. And, we haven't seen an aggressive dog post in days. I guess our dogs are getting along better, too!!! Either that or the owners haven't left their computers in days....

Very scared of weird things
My dog comes from a good breeder, atleast we thought. Well, I first had a German Shep male and he died under 2 years from having a tumor (which our vet knew about, but never told us (I had a friend working in that vet a couple of years later who got bored and looked up my old dog's fie) but unfort...

Don't want to give my dog back to shelter but...
A little background. We got a Beagle puppy July 1 last year from a pet store that was shut down a month later because too many dogs died days after leaving the store. I think ours would have as well, but we loved our dog, Abby, and did all we could to get her healthy. She had pneumonia and it took 6...
