Peeing inside........again
Hi, My Border Collie, Anoush is about 18 months old now. She learnt as a puppy to pee outside. She was often being left inside for many hours and always waited until we got home and then she would go outside. Then we started keeping her outside whenever we went out, and now she is back inside. Now...

beginning crate training after illness
Okay, most of you know that Winston is in the hospital with parvo right now, but that he's on the right track and the outlook is good. I had planned to begin crate training with him in a few weeks, but I'm wondering how being kept in a kennel for days at the vets is going to affect his crate...

dog killing cat
My honey's 21 year old son Mik has a shepherd/lab mix that attacks the family's cats. Today we had to have one of them put down due to the extent of the injury. This is the fourth time he has attacked one of the house cats in a year. They all live in the house. His aggression seems out of the...

A very long question
Hey i've had my Siberian Husky for about a month now, he's almost 3 months old. The vet and the pet store owner told me not to bring him outside until he's had enough shots. So i had to do the wee wee pad training inside the house until then. So the day finally went by and i'm now training...

Proper Walking Time/Distance for Pup
I know that you can't walk a puppy "too far" or "too long" but how far is far and how long is long? [ ] My lab is almost 12 wks now, and I'm just wondering what the best way to gage our exercise is. And, since I live in a condo, we do more walks than outside yard playing....

How Much of a Setback?
Usually Peyton (my 11 wk old fem lab) is good about not going in her crate while I'm gone. I'm gone for a max of 4 hours at work, and today I was gone for 4 hours. However, it was a different time than usual and she peed in her crate while I was gone. I am usually gone in the afternoon, and she...

Need advice: Behavior with pet cats
We have had our Dogo Argentino, Gracie going on a 9 days now. She is 19 weeks old and a very smart good little girl! We have 2 older cats and Gracie is bugging the male cat, non-stop. Gracie gets into the play bow position and shakes her butt and barks wanting to play with Case (the male cat). Case hisses...

Crate training worries
My wife and I have a 15 week old Belgium Malinios and he's pretty much house trained, aside from an accident every now and then. At night, he can make it from 10:15-5:45 without having any accidents in his cage. When we go to work in the morning, I leave at 7 and my wife leaves at 8ish, and I'm...

Should I stop the "fight"?
I recently (three weeks or so ago) adopted a new rescue (female) to add to my pack of two (male and female). I choose another female because my resident female is very submissive. We have had her (Roxy) since she was twelve weeks old. She is now a year old. She is so submissive that she rolls right over...

Growing Out of Crates?
A woman at the dog park yesterday was talking about crates. She said that puppies should have to grow out of their crates, needing them no longer. I can't imaging Sam not being with his crate. He sleeps there, he enjoys treats there, he relaxes there. I thought crates were for enjoyment, not a training...

HARD (play) biting
I have asked so many questions in other areas about my dogs behaviour and weird things he does, but here's another one! Sometimes when I'm petting him, just gentley or crazy play petting, he goes NUTS and gets all happy and tries to bite my hands REALLY hard! But he's not mad or anything...

Ripping pee pads
Help! Giacomo is a 8 month old mini dachshund. I got him 3 months ago and he was fine peeing on a pee pad. Just recently, he started ripping the pee pads to shreds. I would tell him to leave it and he usually would, but when I'm not home, he completely shreds it. Now he's afraid to pee on it...

Taking down the number of potty breaks...
Dweezil had been doing fine with her housetraining for weeeeeeeks. Then, when i stopped taking her out as frequently (every chance i got, and whenever she drank water, got up from a nap, etc) -- limiting by amount of time in between (2-4 hours instead of every twoish) ... she's been peeing randomly...

Well, that's a funny trick
What's the weirdest thing your dog does on command? I think Emma's weirdest is herding. Yes, she herds. When asked, LOL. She is the dog calling police. If I call any animal, it COMES, whether it wants to or not. I can open the back door with any number of dogs outside, and say, "Bring em...

Hello all, So I have a dilema I dont know how to fix. My dog has now gotten in the habit of running out the door, when ever noone is watching him or when the door is left open.
