Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Here is my Fluffy that went to the bridge one year ago
I know the pictures are not very good but I ran across them on another pc today that I have and was so excited in finding them. They show up better in the picture that I made in my sig. Yes it will be gone from my sig in time but this is Fluffy time right now. She was the sweetest dog that I have...

In memory of Lilly, I was thinking of getting alittle tattoo on my ankle of a paw print with angle wings on each side of it. She has been gone a month & a half and I haven't been the same without her. I have a permenant hole in my heart. Just sharing my idea.

My Michelle
Its been four months since Michelle went to the bridge and I finally (maybe) have the strength to write about her. In January 1996 I went to the shelter "just looking" and came home with a Border Collie mix. She just wasn't the right match and three days later I was back at the shelter...

Zeke
One more great friend has joined the gang @ the Bridge. A great friend's best friend was helped to cross the Bridge last night. The vet thinks it was cancer. Zeke was a 100# black Lab who didn't know how to be a dog. He was such a funny boy & a lover. He had 11 wonderful years of fishing...

Jane-not again...
So, last Sunday, little Clyde, my baby kitten foster passed away. Took his sis to the vet on Tuesday to get her checked out. She checked out okay, has a mild case of cocidia but nothing serious. My foster pup was lethargic, so I decided to take her in as well, where I get the blow that "she...

Permanent the guinea pig
For those of you who remember Permanent's long story about her rescue, her blindness, and her ovarian cysts... Perm died last night, almost six months to the day after her cage mate, Temporary, died. That's an interesting little fact considering they were six months apart, so that put Perm...

*sigh*
I really was hoping that I would never have to post again on the rainbow bridge part but I guess I do. I took in two 4 week old kittens to foster three weeks ago. Clyde was the sweetest kitten I had met. Out of the two he was the more lethargic. He didnt like to play, and laid around most of...

Songs
I don't know about you all, but listening to music helps me deal with the loss of my beloved "pets" (more friends than pets)......one of my absolute favorites is "Fly" by Celine Dion. I especially like it because it is inspirational. The words are.. Fly fly little wing Fly...

Pretty Girl Precious
My best friend Terry came home the other day and pulled into her garage for the first time in 6 months. What she didn't know was that her Yorkie Precious was in there by accident. She ran over her, and Precious died instantly. She was12 years old. This family is having a very hard time, considering...

Cicely
My dear friend Joanne and her husband Dennis just lost their sweet sheltie Cicely. She was only 7, but developed arthritis at 3 years old, and had been steadily going downhill these past few weeks. She stopped eating and ended up going into cardiac arrest at the vets on Monday. They cared for and...

Dixie, June 1990-June 2007
Dearest Dixie, You came into our lives 15 years ago when we were all so heartbroken over losing Cara. You and Mom were matched souls from the first time your eyes met. And when Cara came home to us, the two of your were best of friends. She left us years ago, but you have been a constant. A constant...

Three weeks tomorrow
It's will be three weeks tomorrow since you crossed over to the bridge my babygirl Kaluah. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you and how much I miss your kisses and all the time we spent cuddling. I think of you all the time. You'll always be my babygirl Bug, no one...

Little Ti just went to the Bridge
Ti, or Tiger, came to us 17 years ago after I found her, and two siblings in an abandoned building. They were about 3 weeks old. She was your typical, aloof cat. After her sister Spotty and her brother Bandit went to the Bridge last year, she got a whole lot friendlier. On Tuesday, DS was headed out...
