Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    In memory of Lilly, I was thinking of getting alittle tattoo on my ankle of a paw print with angle wings on each side of it.
     
    She has been gone a month & a half and I haven't been the same without her.  I have a permenant hole in my heart. 
     
    Just sharing my idea.

    I think others here have done similar things,too.  (Amy/Loveukaykay comes to mind.)
    My friend got a beautiful portrait of her dog tattooed on her arm after she died suddenly from DCM.  Somehow it feels like more of a presence in your every day and helps "keep her with you", even when she isn't.  When/if you get it, feel free to post pics.  Hope time is helping you deal with your loss.

    I think that just sharing how you feel is a wonderful memorial to your dog.

    I think your idea is lovely.  A few years ago, I had two small paw prints tattooed above my ankle in honor of both of my girls (Gracie & FeFe).  That was before I ever knew FeFe was sick.  Now that she passed away, I've been thinking of having her actual paw print tattooed near the others.  (I'd LOVE to have a portrait tattoo of her!)
     
    I know what you mean about the hole in your heart.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

    That is a great Idea. I am getting a tattoo for my Babygirl Kaluah also, just trying to decide what I want to get. I will post pictures when I get it done. Run Free Lilly!!!!
