Jane-not again...

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Jane-not again...

So, last Sunday, little Clyde, my baby kitten foster passed away.

Took his sis to the vet on Tuesday to get her checked out. She checked out okay, has a mild case of cocidia but nothing serious.

My foster pup was lethargic, so I decided to take her in as well, where I get the blow that "she tested positive for parvo". They started treatment on her immediatly. I went to see her Thursday after work and although she was lethargic and really skinny I thought that she was going to make it. I sat her in my lap for a while and gave her kisses before I left and told her how everyone was pulling for her and wanted her to surivive. Got a call from the rescue director on Friday morning, they had come in to find Jane dead. I guess her little body couldnt handle the parvo :(

She was a very sweet, always happy dog. Run free little Jane. Your life here was too short...

Oh I'm so sorry about your foster kitten and your sweet, little foster puppy. [:(;Parvo is such a terrible disease, for puppies in particular. Again, I'm very sorry....run free kitty and puppy.

Oh, I'm so sorry to read this.  I can't imagine how sad you are.  You're an angel to open your heart and your home to the foster animals; as much as I know it's needed, I can't bring myself to do that.  But thankfully people like you are willing to do so, and it's comforting to think that those animals had their final days with a caring person, rather than dying alone in a shelter or abandoned somewhere.

Run free, sweet little puppy.  You will remain in the hearts of those who cared for you.

It's so hard to look at that face and realize she's not here anymore.  I am so sorry.
