Cicely

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Cicely

My dear friend Joanne and her husband Dennis just lost their sweet sheltie Cicely.  She was only 7, but developed arthritis at 3 years old, and had been steadily going downhill these past few weeks.  She stopped eating and ended up going into cardiac arrest at the vets on Monday.

They cared for and loved that little girl so much, carrying her everywhere, taking her for acupuncture, bringing her outside to sit in the sun and watch the birds..

Run like the wind now Cicely!!

Enjoy the flowers and sunshine at the Bridge, little one.  Your peeps will come to be with you someday - till then, go find Dancer.  She'll show you around.  RIP

And Dancer most likely had the Mostlie Sheltie right behind him!  She looks like an absolute sweetheart, and it's wonderful for you to post this for her folks!  our sympathies to them for sure.

I bet that old arthritis is not bothering you sweet little Cicely anymore at the bridge. Run little girl run.

Prayers for Cicelys mom and dad to ease the pain that they are going through with Cicelys passing.

Run like you were bred to, Cicley!!!

Thank you all so much.  It is comforting to know that other people understand how this feels, and why it hurts so much.  I will pass it on to Joanne and Dennis.

Cicely... you were too young to feel such pain and sorrow here.  May you run free with all your new found friends at The Bridge.

Run Free, Cicely [sm=angel.gif]  Watch over all your friends now.

I'm so sorry for your friends' loss.  What a pretty girl Cicely was, and she was obviously dearly loved by her human family.  Your friends went to great efforts (and significant expense, I imagine) to see that she had the finest of care and the most comfortable and enriched life possible.  She'll now have all that extra love to carry with her to the Bridge, where she can share it with other animals there who didn't have such loving homes.  And they can all serve as angels, to comfort and watch over the animals still on earth who are living lonely and neglected lives.

I know how heartbroken your friends are right now -- and how difficult it will be to find themselves with all this empty time that was once dedicated to the special needs of their sweet girl.  My deepest condolences to them.

Run free, Cicely -- you're family will miss you, but will be grateful that you're pain free, chasing all the birds you can see. [sm=angel.gif]
