Tattooing a dog?

I'm probobly being paranoid, but I'd like to have Sally tattooed for ID's sake in case she was ever lost or stolen (there have been pit thefts in our area--people fight them). She is already microchipped and wears her tags 24/7, but I'd like an additional outward ID in case whoever picked...

My wife and I recently purchased a Rat Terrier. She is currently 5 months old and has recently become VERY lazy. She walks around very lazily and seems to want to sleep a lot.
