    keep giving her the pills until she is almost completely developed...like 8 to 10 months I think, so the Vet says.

    Sorry I mean to say until she is 8 to 10 months old.

    Sorry I just noticed that the chart I put up from the FDA didn't work. I meant to check it before I posted.  I took it back off.

    But the point I was trying to make is the top line:

    [align=center]October 1, 2004
    [align=center]Treated: 12919
    [align=center]Reacted: 12516
    [align=center]Deaths: 2349

    Those are some big numbers when it comes to reported problems of a drug to the FDA.

    If she is going to be on Rimadyl (or Deramaxx) she needs to have her blood tested periodically.  My vet does the frst test in 14 days to make sure the liver is handling it well.  I've had dogs on the meds  for long term with no problems but they did have their blood tested at six month intervals.   Good luck and keep us updated.

    Never ending I tell ya!

    Well Ruby was doinng excellent...she went back in for a check up before her spay and everything checked out good. She had her spay, came home and was energetic to say the least. She recovered very well and the vet was very happy and surprised. NOW, she is acting very sickly, although she is not throwing up, her poo looks normal, she eating (not that much, and sort of finiky, but she is eating) and drinking plenty of water. We have had her on and off of Rimadyl which is an anti inflamatory and when she is on it she is definately a different dog. With that being said we took her in to have xrays done and all of her bones and joints look excellent, so right now we are limbo as to why she is acting like she is. Ears back, doesnt want to get up and play or walk around, just not being a 'dog'.

    Anyway just and update, going to be calling the breeder again to give her an update.

    Have you looked into how dogs act when they react to the Rimadyl?  Maybe you can google it and see if this might be it.

    Your girl is too cute I hope she starts feeling better.

    Thanks for the update.   Poor baby she's too young to be having all these problems.  So is she better when she's taking the meds or not?   My dog didn't have any problems on Rimadyl but each dog is different.  Definitely call the breeder, does she have any problems with her other pups?

    My dog could not stomach rimadyl, w/o throwing it up when she hurt her knees.

    Fish body oil is a natural anti-immflammatory.  My 9 year old gets it everyday and so far has no arthritis.  And Ester C is good too.

    My dog would stare at the steps and I would have to carry her up.  I thought it was her knees but wound up being her heart.  She had a heart attack eventually and is on heart meds now.

    I hope it is pano and hope she feels better soon!.
