Stolen Dog?

    Stolen Dog?

This Saturday, one of my fellow obedience students had her second yorkie in her car during our class.  She had locked her car and put her keys on the table by the entry way.  After class, she couldn't find her keys, went out to her car and found it opened with her little dog missing.  [:(]

She devistated!  No one noticed anyone strange coming in during class and the location is rather remote.  My heart just hurts for her. [:o]  I keep hoping that this is all some mistake and someone will come forth with the car keys and her dog.

[:o] That's incredibly sad. I'd be freaking out and a wreck. Keep us informed if they find the pup.

How long was the dog left in the car?  Was it really hot?  Although I would never advocate stealing someones dog like that, just wondering if someone felt the dog was not being properly taken care of.

My friend left her Silky Terrier in her car when she walked inside the pet store to buy something.  Came out less than 5 mins later, and a man had taken her dog out of the car and was walking it on leash!! WHAT?!

I hope your friend gets her dog back.  Someone must have known those were her keys to take them and then go take the dog.  Someone who was watching her and the Yorkie.

It was under 70 degrees out.  and, yes, it was sunny.  The dog was only in the car for about 45 minutes.  If it was someone attached to the class concerned about the dog's welfare, I would think that the person would inform the owner of his/her concern, wouldn't you?

Tonight is agility class and I'm angious to find out what happened.  I really hope that it was all a misunderstanding.  I'll let y'all know tomorrow.

Wow--that's freaky!  I'm always very careful about leaving Sally in the car for that reason--only around here they would steal her to fight or in hopes that she could be bred.

There are people around here who fight dogs.  I'm worried about this little yorkie being used for bate.  The thing that boggles my mind, though, is that a stranger could slip into the facility and hang around the table without anyone noticing him/her.  It isn't like there was a crowd there and the table is wide open.  But, with everyone focusing on the dogs and the trainers and the trainers concentrating on the class, it very well could happen I guess.  I just hope this was all a strange mistake.

One time, I left my stable after a riding lesson, and my trainer's  tiny JRT had slip into my car while I was hauling my saddle in.  I didn't notice her untill I was almost home and I called her immediately.  Things like this do happen.  BUT, in this case, her car keys were missing and her previously locked car was opened.  weird.

Well, guys, it turned out to be a big misunderstanding after all![;)]
After totally freaking out, calling the police, looking and looking for the dog, the woman finally called her husband to bring her extra set of keys.

He said, "Sorry  Honey, I though that you knew that I came in, took your keys and picked little Buffy up so that you wouldn't have to worry about her in the car.  I hung your keys on the hook next to the door!"  She was both relieved and furious!

We're just happy that little Buffy didn't end up as a bait dog.  [:D]  Sheesh!

Oh thank god. I don't know what in the world I would do if someone had stolen my furbaby out of my car. I'm so glad it was just a misunderstanding! [:D]
