How often do you feed?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Just wanted to see how many times a day people here feed their dogs. I know some people that feed the dog only once a day, in the evening, but I can't help but feel this isn't really the healthiest for the dog. What do you think? From the time I got my dogs until they were 6 months old, I fed...

mucus in nose??
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My dog has mucus in his nose on one side, which we have never seen before. It looks a little swollen. He does get allergies around this time of year, but that is usually limited to itchy skin and feet. Is the nose thing allergies or something else? If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks...

my police dog
Posted to:

We had a rather scary situation last night. A girl on drugs jumped our fence and ran through our yard screaming while we were gardening. There were 4 police officers running after her. Chase, of course, ran at her barking when she jumped the fence. I was so scared that Chase would bite her. Although...

While walking Mika one day, someone noticed that she was limping slightly. I saw it too, and it seemed like she was limping on her front foot (other people say off one of her hind legs). We were having cold weather at that time and the next day her limping was more obvious. (I had to reschedule the vet...

EBAY-used dog toys
Posted to:

Anyone know if dog toys sold on Ebay are made for dogs? And I came across this auction for a used dog toy and shows the dog chewing it up. People will sell anything, or more likely, buy anything on that site. [link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&item=300008389751&rd...

hernia

We just purchased a 6wk old dachshund that has what the breeder called an inguenal hernia but I have not found any info on this. The info I have found is for large breed dogs and it is called an umbilical hernia. The hernia is located on one side of the genitals at the bottom of her body. The vet said...

question about hamsters

Last night my b/f and I were at the local Meijer's. For those who don't know, it's a grocery/department store. They do sell hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, some birds, and fish. I would never buy any, but we were cruising through the aisle where they were and I stopped to point out how all...

Does anyone like to hear themselves on video? I certainly don't, but these are cute videos anyway. My grandparents sent presents to "the kids." Roscoe & Scout know what "Look, a box from grandma" means (notice Scout waiting in her spot, too). And I would say "excuse...

Has anyone seen a show on this, or tried it themselves? I decided I am going to do it. Recently my car died, the car I need for work. I got a huge wakeup call when I realized I could not get a car loan to save my life. I went from thinking I could finance a nice used car to admitting that I have to look...
