mucus in nose??

My dog has mucus in his nose on one side, which we have never seen before. It looks a little swollen. He does get allergies around this time of year, but that is usually limited to itchy skin and feet. Is the nose thing allergies or something else? If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that he went to the vet a week ago and had a bortatella vaccine and lapto...something like that vaccine for creek water. If anyone knows anything about those vaccinations please let me know.

It's really unusual for the mucus to be coming out of only one side of the nose so it doesn't sound like "allergies". Do you give him any medicine for his allergies? Is the mucus a heavy flow?

No it isn't heavy flow. I was looking at his face and noticed there was a little bit of something on the side of his nose. I looked inside and there was some whiteish yellow mucus gunk. Yuck I know. It wasn't coming out. He has been sneezing a little bit, but no coughing. (We thought maybe it was kennel cough or a reaction to the bortetella, but the vet said probably not). We do give him benedryl.
