We're the ones with the opposable thumbs and huge cortex, so IMO we should be learning their language in order to communicate more effectively. Yet, we humans often misinterpret what dogs are really saying - not easy to translate a foreign "language" when it happens at the speed of light...

Red Cross volunteers still needed - much of Houston still w/o power

In Houston 55% of the area is still without power!! That includes businesses so lots of gas stations and food stores are still closed. People in shelters are being encouraged to stay there until more of the power is restored. Red Cross volunteers are still needed as far away as Dallas and new volunteers...

The carpet guy is here! WOOHOO!!! The bedroom is getting done today! *does a dance* Surprisingly enough I don't hurt that bad today. Well my butt bone still hurts but otherwise I'm good. Except for the chainsaws!! BC Hydro has to cut back the trees every 5 years and well it's been 5 years...
