Which online pet food company had the free shipping?
You ordered so much and the shipping was free? Can't recall the website.

So Lets Talk about Canned Food
1. Do you feed canned exclusively, and what brand is it? 2. What low- or no-grain formulas are out there? 3. Can you rotate around different formulas/brands? As you all know I"m waiting on allergy testing for my bichons but looking at options. I would cook if it comes down to it, BUT I...

Sweet Potato Treats
So I picked up these sweet potato chip things the other day and my dogs love them. They are like thick, chewy slices of sweet potato and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could make them at home. Bake at a low temperature for a long time??? lol... thats about all I can figure but more specific instructions...

Cancer diet
Let's hear it. Everything you know about feeding a dog with cancer. No grains, few carbs, lots of protein, lots of fat...that much I know. Supplements? Vitamins A, C & E..selenium, zinc... fish oil.. what else? Should I do berries and leafy greens and broccoli and such? How much do I need to...

Feeding 9 week old shepherd puppy, scared away from raw/homecooked...
My German Shepherd, T-Bone, is currently on Solid Gold Wolf Cub kibble. He seems to be doing very well on this (his breeder had weaned him with Canidae) The breeder suggested I stay away from raw and homecooked diets. The vet agreed and said he's seen too many dog's health be poor due to improperly...

Rally O
I have Finn in a CGC class right now and he is doing excellent. I love working with him and he loves working with me. We have so much fun when we're training and I have decided that he will be my rally dog. We will start classes after our CGC course, which won't be until October. I had Benny...

Newbie - RAW or Homecooked Questions (.stacer.)
Hi, so, I know little about dog nutrition - aside from some good brands of kibble. I've been thinking about either switching to a raw diet or homecooked, after I learn some about each diet. Fiance homecooks for his birds and has fancy food for his fish....but we feed the dogs just kibble. That seems...

Holistique Blendz or CORE
While I wait for the results of Lexi and Darby's allergy tests, I've been considering my options. I have always preferred feeding kibble+ homecooked toppers (meat and veggies, yogurt or kefir). If nothing else works for them then I will homecook (currently they're getting turkey and potato...

Duck hunting
DH wants to hunt duck this season with Lex. Lex has never hunted anything before, but he has high drive. I think he would be perfect to teach. I read a little info online and everything has been from puppy hood and on. Lex will be 3 in December. Is it possible just to teach him some basics? It will just...

Good, Bad, Ugly Food List
A few years ago I saw a food list that was referred to as the Good Bad Ugly Food List. Is this still around and updated. I had made my mind up on going with Eagle Pack for my lab, but I just found out that it costs 33.00 for 15 lbs and 52.00 for 30 lbs. I love my dog to pieces, but I may have to shop...

NDF2
Anyone feeding Volhard's NDF2 and how are your results? Considering trying it as Darby (bichon) is doing awful on PetGuard. Could be environmental allergies too but she is miserably itchy, ear infection, tear staining, yeasty lips and toes... ugh. I have some leftover sojos mix that I put her...

Fish oil vs. vegetable oil
Jessie has chronic pancreatitis and has been on a cooked diet that's 4% fat for about five weeks; it was formulated by Monica Segal. While I was waiting for the consultation Jessie was on Hill's Ultra allergen z/d; it has less fat than her previous diet (10%) and she can't have the Rx diets...

Well now just hold on a sec! (NDF2)
So you all know my ongoing saga with food and Darby's ear/yeast/feet/lipfold issues. And Lexi to a lesser extent, she has only had one ear infection in her 10 years and Gobie the minpin terror can eat just about anything and look great. WEll they've been on NDF2 now for 3+ weeks now. I have...

Teddi's Big Adventure!
She had her first agility trial this weekend. We entered her in a CPE trial and she had a BLAST!!! Sometimes too much fun LOL. She did 4 classes, Q'd and won two, NQ'd in two but she had a GREAT time NQ'ing and visiting all the people inside and out side of the ring! She had to acknowledge...

New and improved allergy food = ear itching?
I've had Sassy on Natural Balance Duck and Potato food for a few yrs now. Prior to switching her to the food, she had horrible ear problems and once I made the switch, they came to a complete stop. The last few days she's been shaking her head like crazy. Her ears look fine but I've been...

Well that's odd, but I'll take it
Aesop has always had gross poos, no matter the food. He's had fecal checks galore, we've tried different foods, and so on. To no avail. Finally I decided to, against my sadness, try Pro Plan Sensitive stomach formula. I'd heard others with dogs with touchy tummis had had good results. It...
