Chelsea, this is a balanced cooked diet by Dr. Olgilvie; he designed n/d, which is the prescription diet for cancer by Hill's Science Diet;

If you try this diet, use white rice because it's more digestible and cook it until it's very soft. I use Minute Rice for Jessie's diet and use 2 parts water for one part rice, gently boil it in a covered pot until most of the water is absorbed and then let it sit until the rest of the water is absorbed. The rice needs to be very tender. You may want to add a vitamin supplement from the vet. Adding green, yellow, or orange vegetables may help prevent the cancer from spreading; cook them until they are mushy. Don't add extra vitamin E because it can interfere with the effectiveness of the DHA from the fish oil. CoQ10 may also be helpful; use 20mg for every 30 pounds of body weight. You may want to feed her Hill's n/d instead. Please keep us updated on Cherokee; {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}
Edited to add; you can use NOW calcium carbonate instead of the Tums. One teaspoon is 1.2 grams of calcium so you would need about 3 tsp. for the recipe. You can find calcium carbonate and bone meal at health food stores.
