Kord and his issue's. (UPDATE PAGE 2)
I have been battling skin and ear infection issue's with him for a long time now, to long, so I am going to have him tested for Hypothyroidism. He has all the classic signs but weight gain, if anything he could use some extra weight. I will send the blood to Dr. Dodds for the testing. To top that...

Feeding guidelines...
...on the bag of dog food? Do you trust them? We feed Hugo consistent with the recommended amount on the bag (Taste of the Wild), but sometimes I worry about it being too much. What are your thoughts on the subject?

Authority dog food
Does anyone know who manufactures Authority dog food? I know it is the Petsmart brand....but I cannot find any info on who makes it, where they get their ingredients, etc. I am just wondering because it is one of the very few foods that don't have flaxseed, barley, or brewers yeast and i don't...

New puppy coming and need to change what he is being fed.
They told me they use eukanuba large breed puppy, then the adult. Now I can't argue that their dogs are gorgeous show dogs which is why I chose this breeder in the first place. But I have never ever fed iams/eukanuba products. Not that I have had the best of luck lately either with my dogs. So that...

what to feed?
I would like to know a good brand of dry food that is not to expensive and is available in most pet stores,i.e. petsmart, etc. I have a Boston Terrier and she is very picky. I want to feed something that is good for her. I guess I am not very informed on different types and brands of food. I was feeding...

When to switch to adult food?
Finn is about 9 months. He is still only about 33 pounds. He has gained maybe 5 pounds since I got him at the end of May. I wasn't sure if smaller breed dogs switch to adult foods earlier or how important it is to stay on puppy food for a while longer. Thanks.

Dehydrating food for treats.....
Who here does it? I'm thinking of dehydrating/drying treats for training, as I know it's cheaper than buying treats, and I like to know just what is in my dog's treats (I try to do grain-free). How long do you do it in the oven for, and at what temp? I've heard different things......

Remind me again, how crazy I am LOL
I decided since dh was home (and I have lots more time to myself since he plays more with the kiddos- ya!) I felt like cookng. I've made people treats, people dinners :) and doggy treats. I've just finished making and cooling a ginormous batch of the Strombeck recipes. Currently my 3 dogs'...

Orjen Fish to Arcana Pacifica easy switch
We needed food and our supplier was out of Orjen Fish but had Champion's other line Arcana which makes a fish based grain free called Pacifica. We just started it but so far absolutely no issues with changing. The kcals/cup are about the same, protein is lower 40 vs 33 I think, fat is slightly lower...

Thinking about dehydrated for Jewel
The holistic vet suggested turkey or beef based food for her, and I'm having a heck of a time finding a kibble that is turkey or beef based, does not contain chicken, and isn't super high protein or super low. I decided to eyeball some dehydrated food, at a friend's suggestion. Great idea...

Opinions on Innova EVO
Hi, I have a 7 year old golden retriever on Natural Balance duck & potato diet for a long time and looking for another trusted brand to switch. The reason is because she has skin allergy, sometimes she chews on her paws and she also has random issues with her ears. The vet thinks it's allergy...

Old dogs LOVE new tricks! (Jewel)
So, I decided to teach Jewel some basic obedience. The other two girls are well trained, and reliable off lead. Jewel misses out on fun times, and she is still very eager to play and interact, at 8 years young. I'd like to get her CGC, and maybe her RN, if her health permits. She has great dog manners...
