Cheapo agility flooring for basement?

Think of this as poor mans agility flooring. If you were strapped for cash (as most of us are) what would you throw together for practicing in your basement during the winter? Besides regular carpet. I'm thinking some type of padding with a rubber mat over it? Something like that? I'm open to...

Today we took Aprl to Philly to the Vet Hospital. They have kept her and will operate tomorrow morning. She had not gotten any better, which I already knew when we left this morning. She will come home this Saturday and will be on complete bed rest for the next 6 weeks, no playing, no visitors, no dogs...
