Sea Water Question
Posted to: News & Entertainment
Hi this could be a silly question but one that I need to know the answer to. Our golden is used to swimming in a local lake, yesterday she swam for the first time in the sea. Should we give her a bath to remove salt? Thoughts / comments welcome..

King of the jungle (non dog related)

This woman found a lion hurt, malnourished and about to die. She took him home, cared for him and restored him to health. When the lion was better, she called the local zoo to come take care of him. This was the reaction she got when she visited the zoo and the lion saw her. Enjoy! Its beautiful....

All Alone At Night

So, Jeremy & I are taking a 3 day vacation this summer to visit his parents who aren't "dog people" at all. Last year we did the same thing, and we boarded Apollo. I had no problem boarding him, he didn't have a problem either. But, this year I was thinking of hiring a pet sitter...

In fact, I forget she is a dog from time to time, especially when I talk about her. So anyway, Gossip is down in Southern California being bred. She has been gone for two...

Drinking fountain

Do cats really drink more from these so called fountains than from regular water bowls? I have a regular water bowl and I barely see my cat drink from it, he does get wet food but he's still suffering from crystals. I've tried adding salt to his food and mixing in extra water but he hates soupy...

bad experience with puppy class
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I'm really annoyed at the dog training school that I take my dogs to for agility and obedience. I had Zack enrolled in the puppy kindergarten class, and part of what they do in each class is have a 5-10 minutes off-leash supervised play session amongst the pups. I was a little unsure about it at...

Who Composts?
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I'm pretty ashamed to admit, but I've never composted before. My dad has a hatred for them due to his neighbor who has a pile that he doesn't tend that attracts all sorts of animals and bugs. And none of the apartments I've lived in have had outdoor composters and only recently did I...
