Potty Training?
I have a question, I have been researching the best way to potty train a puppy and I am finding two different sides and one was wondering what your thoughts were. I have read that with crate training, they stay in for a hour and then out potty and then play time for 15-20 mins (depending on the age)...

Not sure what to do with my dominant aggressive dog.
My year old red heeler mix tried to attack me tonight when I attempted to remove something from him. I've seen signs of dominant aggression, which was my vet's diagnosis, in him for a while, often unprovoked, but this was by far the worst. My mom saw and got scared. We had already talked about...

Do you crate train your dog?
I've always taught my dogs to be comfortable in their crates. It makes life so much easier, especially with house training a pup or a dog new to your home. I know it's not as common is some countries as it is in the US and I was told the other day it's against the law in some countries. Of...

Program vs. Owner Trained PSDs
I need a service dog, I am considered disabled and my other treatments aren't working. I've been researching PSDs for years, and I'm a bit baffled by the responses I keep getting. While I've had loads of experience having dogs, my family has never focused on traditional training. Our...

Recommended Books. Have you read them?
I've made such wonderful connections with people involved with dogs whether through handling, breeding, training, working, etc. Working with our girl really has given me such a wonderful hobby outside of my house and children. I really look forward to our first volunteer day doing therapy work. I...

House training Issues - my 6 month old puppy doesn't seem to remember...
He has two walks a day, frequent trips outside to the garden, but the second we put him out he goes to say hello to the rabbits in the hutch or whines and barks at the door (perfect at 6,30am, just what the neighbours want). He shows no inclination to want to be out there alone or to go to the toilet...

Leashes and Collars
We have a 5 month old pup(Freida). I need to get her a collar to start teaching her to walk without pulling. Do I want to use a choker collar? (I have read that they are not the best in terms of possible damage to the puppy) I was thinking of the type of leash that Cesar M uses, collar and leash in one...
