Dogs Barking Advice Wanted
Does anyone have advice as how to handle lots of dogs barking during the day? I live in an apartment where we can have pets, but lately it seems to be getting out of hand. Most of the owners are not home I've noticed. I'm thinking one dog can get the others all started? Maybe they are excited...

Agressive towards people on the street.
Hi! I have been having problems with my Katie. She is a super mutt as I like to call her. We have NO idea what she is as we got her from a pound. She used to be super super shy. She wouldn't let anyone but us touch her(and my mom). She has since come out of her shell and loves all our friends and...

Two Pups playing (Agression)????
I have two pups. One is five months old and the other is nine weeks old. They love to play together and seem to play real well together. They don't bite each other hard, but they do bite "at" each other in a playful manner. So far I have not heard a yelp from either one. When they are...

My dog doesn't give my signals
I have a 6 month old feist. She only barks when she wants to come inside. I thought we were doing pretty well housebreaking but then I found that she had been going to do her business in a room of the house we don't use much (thankfully this room has tile, not carpet). At first she just did this...

Whining
We've had Kaiser since he was 8 weeks, and he is now a 4.5 month-old beagle. He took really well to training and we use a crate with him. He spends most of his time in the tv room, which is divided in two. One's his side, one is our side, so he doesn't get into things. We play with him often...

Ball hog & fence jumper
My 2 year old black lab LOVES tennis balls. I've only had her for 3 months but her personality is pretty easy to see. We go to the dog parks frequently as I don't have a yard. She loves going there, but we tend to get into trouble most of the time we go. She will sometimes jump the 4' fence to go fetch...

She bit the VET and US!
I am so bummed. My puppy that is a GSD mix bit the vet today and he was just petting her. She has always been a little on the nippy side, but lately it has been way worse. It is like she has changed personalities or something. Health wise she is perfect, she just wants to hunt and run and fight and...

Question about biting in pups
My pup Lucy is just shy of 3 months old and likes to chew-- and therefore bite and hard! Whenever she tries to take a bite off me, I promptly tell her 'no bite' and will make whatever she wants to bite unavailable. Now she has her toys and sometimes whenever she is bitey I will do the same thing...

puppy runs off outside after people!
I know puppies tend to do this but this is making me very nervous: My 6 month old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd knows the come command very well. However, if we are in a place playing fetch and someone walks within 100 feet she darts off at full speed. I say her name and come over and over, but...

Barking and Growling at me!!!
My 6.5 month male Havanese has just found his voice. He was so quiet that you'd never know he was around, until very recently. If we're eating and he doesn't get any table food, he will bark at us, and growl at us. Sometimes we'll be watching TV and he'll come over to me, look at me and bark. I think...

crating your adult dog due to illness
hi- I have a 7.5 yr old lab that needs to go thru heartworm treatment on the 17th and the vet says he will have to be crated or kept in the bathroom. He hasnt been in a crate since he was 6 months old for any length of time. He is totally housebroken and goes outside with my other dog during the...

2 year old weim barks too much
My weimaraner is neurotic. He will have a barking fit over seeing a butterfly in the window. He tends to bark a lot and then jump on the windows. I've tried a bark collar. He figured out that if he barks at the right pitch, the collar won't activate. Plus I hate the collar bcz it causes...

Continues to bark at mom....why?
We have a 14 week Papillon puppy. We had her for about 2 weeks now. I think she's more attached to me than she is to mom. But when mom walks out from the bedroom or makes a noise she barks. But when I walk down the hall, or make a noise in the bedroom she doesn't bark Why is that? I don't...

Won't poop while on the leash
I really can't complain about my new rescue pointer, Grace, in general. She prefers to pee and poop in her special spots in our yard (we have an e-fence). However, when I walk her, she will pee during the walk but will not poo. If I can't let her loose in the yard to poo, she gets flustered,...

Puppies peed in thier crate yesterday...
I don't know what happened. We still only have two crates for the puppies and Crusher. Since Crusher is usually left upstairs when we are gone the girls are usually seperated into the two crates. Yesterday however they were in the same crate because for some reason come time to leave Crusher went...

Dog freaks out over nail trimming
My dog freaks out and try's to bite when we do her nails or even trim the hair on her feet. She is not an agressive dog otherwise, the only thing I could do is put a muzzle on her so she doesn't bite me. I'm hoping she will get more comfortable with this procedure and I won't have to...
