Training not to chase horses and a good recall.
I am working at a training facility now where I get to train what I want and how...much better than PETCO! I have a dog in now that likes to go chase horses. Its not really the chasing that is an issue for the owner, but lack of a solid recall since the field has poison ivy and she is allergic to it...

smaller kibbles?
We just adopted a dachshund mix puppy from the Humae Society two weeks ago. She was eating Science Diet Puppy but the kibbles are kind of big for her mouth. It takes her a long time to eat her food. I don't want to keep her on the science diet for much longer but i would like to find a puppy food...

He said EP was DESIGNER food!
Hello, hope everyone is well. I was just shopping at the grocers, and had a bag of Good Life dog biscuits at the checkout aisle. The man behind me picks it up and starts reading the bag. So I say, "I buy those for treats, but feed my dog Eagle Pack Holistic food. He says "Oh, that's a DESIGNER...

TOTW (again) Need something else.
I have been rotating this food with Evo. I really want to love TOTW. It has great ingredients and the price is decent. I'm just not happy with what it does to my dogs fur! All 3 aussies have lost weight too. It's tough enough to keep weight on Neiko as it is, but Lily has gotten too skinny as...

How to teach Shailer to pull?
I am having second thoughts about doing carting with Shailer. He is now 7yrs old and he is getting up there in age. Is it still liable to teach him to pull a cart? Ofcourse he will be taken to the vet for a full physical to insure that he is able to. I don't know if I am being to paranoid but I sometimes...

Teaching contacts
Hi all, Our instructor at agility wants us to start working on targeting for contacts - she wanted everyone to teach a two paws and nose on a ground target but I am not sure if this is the best way for Pocket- she is a very leggy greyhound mix and it's quite a long way to the floor! The rest of dogs...

Agility Observation
This weekend I was at an agility trial with Belle. I got there WAY TOO EARLY and had to watch, and watch...Anyway there was a handler there running aussies and border collies, he had a TON of dogs. He seemed like a nice enough individual but he was NOT NICE to his dogs. He had one dog that ran excellent...

Intact bitch owners
Not sure if this is the right place, but.... Ena is my first intact dog, ever. Of course, I'm going to ask folks around me, but I already know what most of them do with their girls. I'm really concerned about Ena, because she's just barely six months old. She started exhibiting some unusual...

Beef formulas
I rotate foods and am looking for a nice Beef formula. The only ones I can think of are Solid Gold "MMillenia" and Nature's Variety's Beef formula. What do you think of those 2 formulas? Do you know of any others? (With or without grain).

Question about bones....
I was wondering....since my Callie is on a diet and I can only give her between 500-600 calories per day...would giving her a raw bone to chew on in her crate, for bordeness and teeth cleaning, compromise her diet at all? Would I need to give her less food if I give her just a raw bone? (She currently...

High Energy Dog Snacks
My agility trainer was telling me hard boiled eggs are a good source of protein for dogs. However I am wondering what else I could do. Teddi has gotten EXTREMELY hungry when we have taken her to dog events. She is thin (thin side of normal) so she does not have any reserve fat to draw from. I realized...

I gave Casey an egg and...
I think he liked it, sort of. I've never done this before - because I'm not really an 'egg person'. But tonight... I just cracked it on his food, and added a piece of cheese (his favorite) and he licked up most of the eggy. I was thinking about scrambling it next time - it would...

Got Fish Oil
So, I was in Walmart yesterday (which is a big feat with my back issues right now) and needless to say, they had a pretty limited choice of fish oils. Only two brands - but, 14,000 different formulations within each brand!!! UGH.... So, I stood there for what seemed like an eternity going over the labels...
