Lure Coursing ?

    Lure Coursing ?

I didnt see anything in this section... maybe i'm looking in the wrong place?

but what are the basics of building a course? my husband can build the motor for me, the pulleys i might have to get somewhere else.. but i dont know what kind i need....

I want to get Miki into it. she's got a high prey drive on her and i think this would do her well - and it would save on my water bill!! she chases the spray of the hose as if it was some sort of animal, so i think lure coursing might be right up her alley. And I would also like to get Kaydee in on the fun too. she cant jump(i wont let her even if she could), so spring and flirt pole is out of the question, but she can run!

anyway if you have info to share on how to set up a course, if you have your own course, or if you KNOW of some websites with a DIY/HOW TO guide i would be extremely thankful. so far all i have found is half-information.......seems like this is top secret information!

I know what you mean about it feeling like it's 'top secret" or something...  I was suprised at the lack of information/number of websites at first too. In case you haven't found it check out http//www.injoy-1.com 's information on lure coursing pretty much everything is on that site as far as I can tell and I'm fairly certain the owner can and will answer simple questions if asked nicely. :)

thanks BP, i've been to injoy, they have taken down some of their instructions and their equipment is insanely expensive!

i want the designs so i can build my own. i have someone telling me car parts, then another says washingmachine motor... then another says LAWNmower.... now thats ok. motor is a motor... and i'm not running grey hounds.. but how do i set up the course? will any kind of pulley work for turns?
