Posted to: Training & Behavior

We might try rigging up a tape recorder to make sure it is our dog. If it is, any suggestions? She gets lots of exercise and attention, we have...

Barks for guests
Posted to: Training & Behavior
Zoe barks when people knock at the door or whatever. Fine. Then she will bark at them for a while... whether they pet her, ignore her, give her a treat or anything. Sometimes she quiets down quickly (especially if it is a group of people coming over) but I find she is worst when one person comes over...

Started beginner obedience!
Posted to: Nutrition & Exercise
My daughter and Harley started beginner obedience. Harley was the smallest dog in the class. He is a two year old Shih Tzu. He was very well behaved and listened very well to my daughter. He was good with the other bigger dogs and was curious and absolutely NO agression what so ever. He didn't get too...

Petsafe Ultrasonic trainer
Posted to: Training & Behavior
Has anyone ever used this product from Petsafe? The house I bought has a petsafe fence, so I may get the collar-- but wonder if the trainer works at all. Its main purpose is to correct my wonderfully behaved Cockapoo when she's outside. You see, we have a beautiful lawn and garden, thanks to the former...

Yesterday I was very shocked to hear this story. I'm trying to get a hold of family, I believe this man could be my Aunt's SIL Brother. This happened 30 minutes away from us. My sister is in school nearby and could not leave the school. We don't see this happen around here. [link http://www.cbc.ca...

Hello everyone, I am new here and have some questions. I have read a lot of the other posts, and I am furthering the marking in the house question. I have two bichons, my spayed female just turned 6, and my neutered male is 3. I had both my pups fixed at the age of 6 months. They are my children so they...

I hope I'm in the right forum for this post... if not, someone, let me know! Hi, I have two questions for the dog trainer regarding our dog, Hailey, who is a Miniature Schnauzer who just turned 2. She is on the small side, 11lbs, full of puppy energy, and relishes the center of attention. My husband...
